It's Not Over

Not just limited to this forum, but more to any Flyers fan I've encountered tonight. People have given up, resigned themselves to a sweep or at best a 5 game series.
All I have to say is:

Does it suck being down 3-0? Abso****inglutely. Is this series over? NO.
It takes FOUR wins to end a series. FOUR.
Did people count the Habs out down 3-1 to the mighty Caps?
Is it gonna be easy? No. Possible? Yes.
We dominated this game tonight IMO and deserved the win.

Did the 2004 Red Sox (sucks it's a Boston team to make an example out of) lay down and take a sweep? They could have. Instead they FOUGHT BACK.

How many people said **** this when the Flyers went to a shoot-out in the last game of the year, with Boosh v. Lundqvist? But we pulled through.

To be honest, the Bruins are not a better team. A few bounces the other way and we could be up 2-1 in this series easily.

This is where we see what heart both the team and the fans have.

If I were a betting man, would I put money down on the Flyers? No, but that doesn't mean I'm throwing in the towel either.

This series is NOT OVER and we still have lots of fight left in us. Lets show the hockey world that we don't give up, we never quit while there's still a chance, no matter the odds.

LETS GO FLYERS

did that guy just say we dominated the game? what? are you kidding? what were you watching? we didnt force rask to make any hard saves. they played terrible. boucher was the only on consistent. welll... except coburn, he was pretty consistently awful. i just dont get where you are coming from saying we dominated. after they scored those two goals, we were never in it.

Nah, its over. The injuries caught up to us which is a shame because the guys have been battling hard, but the Bruins defense and goaltending is too good right now.

Me too! Bruins will advance to the ECFs but I hope they'd be given a good run for their money.

Not to get swept is the absolute minimum requirement right now.

Ok won one, why not another one too?

Hey we're back in front of home crowd, let's not disappoint them here.

What the... it's 3-3 series, ok win this and ECF we go!

Yea I wouldn't say the Flyers dominated. It was more like the Bruins let them play around in the outside of the zone for a long stretch of time. The Flyers didn't have many second chance opportunities or shots from the slot, and when they did Rask was there to close the door.

I am with you on this one!! For the first few years when I started posting on this forum I always wondered why some people called it Negadelphia and I slowly realized why. I actually quit posting here because of the negativity. I actually just started reading and scrolling past the negative parts because it was starting to rub off on me. Everytime something didnt go the Flyers way the sky was falling. I have even turned that way to a point as you can see by my avy ......but I will never ever EVER count them out until they are done. NEVER!!

Do I think they will come back .... probably not but I will root for them until the final buzzer of every season and every game. I will NEVER count them out before that. If I was in that arena tonight I may have been the only one cheering but I GUARANTEE you that I would have left without a voice cheering for my FLyers and giving them any smidgen of confidence I could. It was dead quiet in there (at least from the TV it sounded that way) and that is unacceptable. You call yourself fans?

Anyways now that thats off my chest.............

LET'S GO FLY-ERRS!!
LET'S GOO!!!!

They just look dead. They looked gassed tonight. I'm not giving up (I am a Sox fan and I never gave up in '04, that comeback still amazes me) but honestly, with the injuries and all...it just isn't their year.

I'll be cheering and obviously hoping they win but honestly they've led in this series for just over two minutes. It's over.

It is time to go "all in" on them more than ever no matter what. I know I will be in my living room I will be blowing the roof off this place cheering for them. I expect no less from you privileged ones that get to go to the Wachovia on Friday

Realistically, we do not have a shot at winning the series.

Pessimistically, we do not have a shot at winning the series.

They are pretty much the same thing.
