Interesting about the talks between Gainey & Clarke -- Perrault for Primeau. Both are pending UFAs. Primeau makes about $5M, Perrault $1.5-2M less. I wonder if it's true. The Flyers could use Keith's size and physical play when the grind it out in the playoffs, and few GMs love to see his players take the body more than Bobby Clarke.
I certainly wouldn't mind Primeau lining up being Joe as the #2. His stats have dropped, but so did everybody's on the Flyers under defensive minded Hitchcock. Keith is more of an up & down guy and not a playmaker. With the right kind of wingers, eg Samsonov & Lapointe or Knuble, he could create a decent second line.
Still, he would be a pending UFA, and the Bruins have enough of those.
