I expect he'll play, we'd have heard about the team making an emergency call-up by now otherwise.

And apparently he's uncomfortable too. Not good news.

From Twitter:

Live from the scene, now #Habs Markov is doing figure eights around the ice. Doesn't seem to be favouring knee. Riveting stuff.
Good news!

Might as well surrender now if that's the case. I don't think I've ever hated a Habs player as much as him.

If Gill -along with Markov and Spacek- is out, Mara's presence in the line up would be more significant than anyone from the Bulldogs.

I didn't see any confirmation, but RDS says "it looks like" he's going to play... which would be great news...

According to what I'm seeing on Twitter Gill is STILL in Pittsburgh because of plane delays on his commercial flight. Has been at the airport for something crazy like 10 hours.
Why didn't we send a private plane? He's going to be exhausted if he plays.

Lets dress all of the defensemen. Available or injured. Its not like we use our 4th line anyways.

Concerning Spacek's virus...and based on what he says on RDS....Maybe it's mononucleosis ? If it so so, I'm not that thrilled to see him back so soon. And I would hate to receive body-checks with a double sized fragile spleen...Oh well - let's hope I'm wrong

No the virus affected his inner ear, which then affected his balance.

Mara in full equipment, no contact according to TSN.ca.
I live to see the beard. In fact, pretty sure that was the major reason he was signed.

Hey folks, just a thought here. University of Pittsburgh has a pretty good sports medicine group at its hospital. One possible explanation for Gill staying is that while he was with the Pens he got treatment from a doc not affiliated with the team who he trusts and he wanted to stay behind to have a consult with that doctor and the team doctor (who also stayed from what I've read). I expect him to play, though it sucks that he was stuck at the airport all day.

Likely it's Labyrinthitis. The recovery is anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks. However residual symptoms can last for months, sometimes years. This is probably why Spacek said it sometimes is a career-ending injury.

Would be nice to see Mara come back for game 6. The d is decimated right now. To have him ready would be nice, and would take some minutes from MAB.
