The guy who's idea trying to win a SM gold is to rent out their best swedish players to KHL only to sign expensive czech players for the money.
Kudos to Färjestad btw, they've done a good job with their roster so far.
I'm very satisfied. I like the fact that Junland was the first shortterm signing and that all but Bastiansen and Holtet are swedish players.
I think there will be three more signings, maybe a forth if Rundqvist really means what he's been saying about having three goalies.
Sevc will sign tomorrow or early next week.
Wallin will sign once Toronto gives word that he's not getting a new contract there
Micke Johansson will sign any day.
That leaves us with a roster that has three non swedes and by far is the strongest team on paper this far into the new season.
I'm quite excited about Färjestad actually, I like your signings so far. Well, except for Nilstorp maybe. But hey, Rahm showed what he's capable of in the quarterfinals so I'm sure he can do it again in the regular season. Nilstorp might be a surprise though, I've been expecting more from him.
What's funny about Junland is that I got a message from a friend early this week asking if our #44 was free..
.. I took it as a joke cause noone has had #44 since Souray during the lockout and I'm always going on about Souray and that he is one of my favorite players.
Obviously an attempt to show the fans that "we did what we could"..... as was the decision to go after him at all. Trying to sign a player you don't need, just because he's one of your own products, is probably the real laughable thing here.
On the other hand.... Imagine what a tabloid like Aftonbladet or Expressen could have written if Linköping had given their side of the story to the fans thru them instead.

We won't get a sniper. But that is fine with me because the problems with scoring that Färjestad had last year did not have anything with lack of goalscorers but of bad play from the backend. I don't think I saw many good first passes last year.

Should Wallin not sign then they will persue another playmaker center and from what I've heard, that might be Haydar.

I disagree about not needing a pure sniper, I think we do. We have a lot of play making ability among the forwards but to few who shot and shot good. Dick is not the answer, I hope he stay with us for next season and longer than that but he is not a sniper.
North Power did an interview with Wallen's dad a few weeks ago, apparently a few SEL-teams have been interested in him. It'll be fun to see him next year, I was sort of hoping that it would be with us, but then again, he might not be the player we need.
Like I said a couple of days ago now.. Johan Andersson was signed by LHC today.
I havent gotten any details of the deal yet but it looks like LHC just took over the contract from Färjestad without any transferfees or anything like that.

Färjestad also said that they have agreed on a 3 year deal with Mikael Johansson but due to his hip surgeries, the pappers has not been signed yet.
