Are those the real lines Canada has been icing?

I can't believe Downie gets more icetime than Smyth, and that Tavares has to play on the wing.

I want to see Eberle, why isn't he playing? He's older than a few of the younger guys, why not just put him out there?

Ryan Smyth - Eberle - Evander Kane would be a good 3rd line. Young grit, skill with captained experience on the left wing. All of them in their natural positions, and you don't give up any chemistry with the top two lines. This should be our fourth line Brooks Laich - Steve Ott - Downie

Latvia has the best fans of any country in the world, and for that reason alone I wish Latvia very good luck in this game!

Should be an easy win for Canada. My prediction is 4-1 for Canada.

How about we just show up for once in the first 40 minutes of play. This goes back to how we played in the Olympics, give up the lead early then go "hey, lets start playing!!!!" Its becoming annoying and rather frustrating, we should of picked up points against the Swiss.

Just show up for once, please. I wouldnt mind the loss if we played the full 60. Ohh well, atleast we have Italy next and will see 3 more games in Qualifying Round.

Masalskis is better than you'd think. Watch out for him.

Might be tougher than before. I'm assuming that some of these players play in the KHL and some of them are from Riga? I haven't bothered to check up on the Latvian roster. KHL experience might have closed the gap a bit.

Smyth is out for todays game according to the guys on TSN, so i'm guessing Eberle will be filling in.

Eberle has not yet been named to the full roster, so he can't play yet. Not quite sure why they haven't put him on the team, it certainly couldn't hurt.
