Yes, he is a free agent. Yes, Finland has a transfer agreement which automatically places an out-clause in all contracts. No official word on whether Aaltonen has somehow waved that clause.

Wolf had a big chance on a breakaway coming from the penalty box but was denied by Vehanen with a great save. Finland with an aggressive forecheck and dominating the second period.

I wish there was someone in the Finnish team who cared about scoring and could score.

Jussi Jokinen has one of those, but I can't remember which.

That should have been a game misconduct, or a 2 plus 2 at least, Dietrich was cut.

Its a very irritated mood. If for nothing else, shouldn't it have been more than 2 mins because the German player was bleeding ?

Have you tried to listen Yle Radio Suomi using Yle's website http://areena.yle.fi/nettiradiot. Should work outside Finland as far as I know. Not as good as web stream, but better than nothing.

Yeah, 5+GM is the minimum with a boarding resulting in injury.
No news that Sjöberg and Lärking doesn't know the rulebook though.

The only rule where blood equals bigger penalty is on high sticking(2+2 on accidental and 5+20 or 25 for non-accident). The German player clearly wasn't injured on the play so 2 min was the right call.

You should probably take a reading comprehension class or something.

edit. oh and that "injured" player came running back on the ice showing his little cut... Way to prove you are injured

Dietrich came back on the ice to show the ref he was cut. The cut cleary came from being pushed into the boards. It should have been at least a 5 min major penalty, maybe even a game misconduct on top of it.

Looks like the confidence Finns still had in the second has vanished into thin air. Now they are back into panic mode.

Five-minute major penalties are called for especially violent instances of most minor infractions that result in intentional injury to an opponent, or when a "minor" penalty results in visible injury (such as bleeding), as well as for fighting

Not really. Finland dominated the first two periods. Then started to fall back in the third and finally went into a total panic mode.
