Does that huge image stretch across anyone else's screen? I need to scroll just to read the great pre-game info.

I hope Niederreiter will score!
But anyway: Switzerland must win, but I think it will be a close game...

Italy is a terrible team. They belong in Division I, there are much better teams that deserve their position like Slovenia, Austria or Hungary. They only played good against Canada because many players have associations with Canada, so they wanted to show up.

The first goal by Team Switzerland was a mistake by Helfer, the second was scored after a stupid penalty call again against him. But what can you expected by a player who has the opportunity to sign again in Switzerland but prefers to come back to Italy? No comment about the last goal. Ansoldi cannot control the puck and remains motionless watching Pluess scoring at the empty net.

Team Italy in general, especially Ansoldi, looked like they didnt even care. Their offense is putrid! Ansoldi has given up 2 very lazy goals so far. The first being the goal Stamkos scored in close the other day.. Bellisimo made the score MUCH closer than it looked. Overall very disappointing for Italy when they could have played hard and actually had a chance to win the game..

Sorry ... i don't see how this team would have been able to win.

in hockey (like in every sport) everything is possible. we agree. so let's put it that is was very very improbable that they win.

They had not ONE play compartment in their favour. Dominated at ALL levels ! They were lucky it wasn't 6-0 or more.

like you put it in an earlier post :

the chance they had to win was the score was 1-0 going into the third period! only 1 chance to tie the game would have made it much more interesting...

I understood you and i think actually they tried ! resulting into the 2nd goal because they weakened their defence.

Seriously, i do not say that often, although i generally express my views but they were REALLY inferior and in ALL compartments.
The 3-0 is in my view already heroic. I still remember some visions of 3 field players lying in front of the Italian goal ... and
all the team around the goal but at a perimeter of 3 meters !

What are the statuses of players like Streit, Sbisa and Hiller?
Did they refuse to go and are some injured?

Streit I believe said he was tired and both Sbisa and Hiller were denied by Anaheim.
