ESPN: A New team of Destiny?

Gomez talking about "Home Ice Advantage"

"You hear so much about it," said Scott Gomez, who drew an assist on the Spacek goal. "A lot of us have been through some big games ... been in a lot of arenas, been to a lot of sporting events, but people here, definitely we're proud of our fans."

It's so weird. I've been watching Gomez for years and i've never seen have so much problems putting home one-time opportunities. sure he's a passer first but seriously, I think he's just having an off year. He's been thinking pass first so much this year that he never seems ready for a pass in a scoring area. I think with more natural shooters in the lineup (Gionta and Cammy) he assumes they should always shoot. Maybe next year he'll be more in the habit of finishing off plays (that aren't tap-ins)... Or maybe tomorrow!
