Would've been sweet if Hedman couldn't have put home that play from Omark.

I am watching the game.First goal for Sweden was an own goal by the french.Sweden were a liitle bit shaky defensively ih the firts period,France playe more brutal hockey and several swedish players looked shaky(Backman for example).Omark is brilliant today,MPS is so fast, but can't score.Nylander is very good in keeping the puck, good addition to the team. The second period was much better,a lot of good attacks,at some moment it looked like an assault aginst the french goaltender(their best player).Markstrom also impressed me,especially in several difficult periods in the first period.Calm and commanding, good game for Hedman, but he missed at least three clear chances.3-0 is so little for today's game.OEL and Andersson also deserve a praise.

And?
Sweden always need one or two of these terrible games to get their **** together. And traditionally Sweden always suck up until the quarter final game, swedish hockey players are all very lazy and only care when it matters. Nothing to get upset about, all is as should be.

Why isn't Adam Larsson on this team btw? He's clearly better than Rundblad.

And once again, Hedman is useless - terrible game.

OEL on the other hand, is the real deal

Why was Ericksson not playing?
It's got to be fun turning yourself inside out to make the trip and actually get there on time to play... and guess what... you aren't playing!!!

LOL

Somehow I can see why some R&R in Detroit will sound damn appealing next time around... sorry.. washing my hair!

If I had to put some money on it, I'd say OEL is going to be a Norris caliber defenceman, while Karlsson is a clone between Gonchar and Green.

I'd assume they gave "Nyllet" a puck of his own so he could go play by himself in his own little universe.

I can't believe how washed up he was when he played for Jokerit. No wonder Washington didn't want to have anything to do with him.

This guy used to define the word magician. He was a cult hero (at least to me) during the mid 90's lockout here in Finland when he seemingly did whatever he wanted with the puck.

Sad to see him regress like he has, nothing more but a faded star who didn't know when to call it quits.

He was one of the best Swedish forwards, if not the best.

I agree with Nordic this time, Hedman had an awful game. But he will be better. Hopefully when it really matters.

Like others have said, OEL. He is our best defender, on par with Karlsson. Think of it, our D for the future is fantastic!

Bad game, but a win. And that's the important thing.

I didn't see all of the game (missed the first half of the first period and the first three minutes of the third), but why is Karlsson not getting more time on the powerplay? That would seem to be the area where he could best contribute to this team.

Weird game, when it was 3-0, the numbers could have been a lot greater for Sweden, and then the match ends 3-2!. Terrible result but I don't think the performance was THAT terrible. The important thing is that they got the points. They won't be slacking off against the Czehcs.

I'll have to join the choir saluting OEL

Hedman is on the first unit with Johansson... why they keep going back to that... I really don't know.

Hedman has only 1 Powerplay point in Tampa... whereas Karlsson has 10 powerplay points, and 4 pp points in 6 games in the playoffs.

Adam Larsson - OEL

Karlsson - Hedman (assuming he meets the expectations, I don't think he will)

Rundblad/Erixon/Almqvist/Hjalmarsson/Grossman/Enstrom/Edler

Decent for the upcoming Olympic tournaments...

Yes, and that would be surprising had we not already established that BÅG is an idiot

For Gods sake, he's giving one of the best PP-quarterbacks in the NHL the least ammount of pp-time on the entire team and lets guys like Hedman and Gunnarsson fill the spot....guys who almost never see any pp-time in the NHL despite playing on two of the worst teams in the league.
