Rats/Binghamton (03/05/05)

4-1 early in the second for Binghamton.....Suglobov scored for Albany, but the big thing to take notice of tonight was that the Rats gave up 28 shots in the first period, and yes that is not a typo Some teams don't even give up that many in a game

5-2 in the second right now, and it seems like things have gotten nasty between the two teams...again.

Binghamton always seems to have Albany's number.

Probably because they have a better offense...a better defense...a better goalie...a better team...

28 shots...sad. That's sad.

I thought cursing was commonplace in hockey? What do you have to say to an official to warrant 20 minutes (and an ejection, I assume)?

UUUUUUUUPDATE: Officially, the game's over with Binghamton winning 5-2. Hey, Albany didn't get owned in the 2nd period. Just owned in the first. Miserably.

Lots of work for Wes McCauley tonight. Albany with 83 minutes in 17 infractions; Binghamton with 62 minutes on 13 infractions.

Playes are not supposed to use fowl language at all. They also not allowed to argue with officials.

See Rule 41 of the NHL Rulebook

Here's what the NHL Rulebook has to say about Rheaume's Game Misconduct,
Quote:
Rule 41 (f) Any player who persists in continuing or attempting to continue a fight or altercation after he has been ordered by the Referee to stop, or who resists a Linesman in the discharge of his duties shall, at the discretion of the Referee, incur a misconduct or game misconduct penalty in addition to any penalties imposed.

Ah. I did not know that. It's all clear now.

Pascal Rheaume wasn't happy and took it out on the wrong person in the wrong way.

Thanks.
