I have always wondered, why do you guys hate BÅG so much. He has won all sorts of golden medals with your team. Just remember Hardy Nilsson years? That was a drought for Swedish hockey, but ever since BÅG came, Swedes have always been top contenders, regardless of the tournament always named among the gold medal claimers.
The way I see it, BÅG is experienced like few, he knows the only things that matter are qualifying for the 1/4 finals and subsequent play. Swedes are in, so for them it doesn't really matter how the match against us goes.

To be fair we do not always write our own spellings either. But this is the international forums so why not. What is the difference in pronouncing between š and č btw?

He doesn't coach. Players don't want to play for him anymore. It becomes a (big) problem after 4 years.

Oh you guys do write your spellings, that's what I have always liked about you.

š like English sh
č like English ch

so the pronunciation of e.g. Červenka in english would be Cher-vehn-kah

I wonder did the players say it explicitly for the media or does it just look like they do not want to play for him?

This was an article today in one of our biggest papers. Players that wanted to be anonymous gave the main reasons why they/many others don't want play for him anymore;

- Lack of coaching, forming of lines(ex. Franzen and Zetterberg not playing together), and ice time distribution(Sedins, defencemen).
- Lack of scouting, tactics and training on special teams. Quoted to be "two levels below the club teams' standards."
- The Samuelsson affair, they think he was mistreated.

All of this is linked to the head coach in one way or another.

BÅG was coach in -06 when we won Gold twice that year. After that what has Tre Kronor accomplished? In Torino we had a great team with tons of leaders and veterans who don't even need to hear a word BÅG has to say about anything. And then in the WC's we got all those Detroit players and bam we won that gold. The biggest problem with BÅG is that he has no communication skills whatsoever. You should hear him talk to the media, it's like he's a ten year old, and I don't think it's only to the media that he's like that.

BÅG has stated to the media several times how little he actually watch hockey, particularly NHL/AHL, he knows nothing about what players can or can't do, he doesn't coach during the games. I don't even know why we even need a coach at all when things work like this.

Not making excuses, as that was terrible, but Gustavsson could have stopped it.

The other defenders aren't exactly impressing either, tbf.

But he almost took out Jagr...

Nyllet's been useless for years now, I'm not entirely sure what he's doing on this team.

Czech players must learn to dive during junior years.

Indeed. Gustavsson backed too deep in the crease. He should have stayed out as Rolinek had no passing options or room to make a move.

Shots 18-6 for the Czechs? That's nuts.
