See the Swedes write Bäckman and BÅG, not Backman and BAG. I implore you, countrymen of mine, grow a pair, because this make me sick. I'm terminally sick of reading Ruzicka and Blatak. Those are not their names!
You are right. Sorry, I didn't realize that... btw. why do you have "Krejci" in your avatar instead of "Krejčí"

I admit Blatak dived, but so much whining about diving?

Maybe they don't like diving?
I know I don't like to see players lying on the ice screaming like they are almost dying and when they get the call for a penalty they rise up like it was nothing. This was going on several times in this period. The worst part of soccer is gaining popularity in hockey more and more.

The way I see it, BÅG is experienced like few, he knows the only things that matter are qualifying for the 1/4 finals and subsequent play. Swedes are in, so for them it doesn't really matter how the match against us goes.
Hardy had pretty good results, his teams just never won the finals. And at least under Hardy the swedish team looked like it was playing after some idea or system. BÅG neither coaches or installs a system after which the players can react. The fact that he had success early on I attribute to the fact that he had great players who themselves were great leaders. The Detroit Swedes, Sundin, Forsberg and the Jönsson brothers were much more important than BÅG in '06. And not to forget; in Torino sweden had what they had lacked for many years, a good goaltender.

Also, I question BÅGs taste in players and abilities as a scout. He loves soft skill guys, especially if they are bad in their own zone and love to overpass the puck. His line combinations are also completely irrational and often out right detrimental to the performance of the team.

That one, and a couple of other times laying on the ice for a few extra seconds to attempt drawing a penalty. But mostly frustration out of bad play.

Might as well watch a film or something if this is such a certain victory for Sweden.
If the next two periods will resemble the first, you better select a comedy to cheer you up after the game.

Jagr fell awkwardly into the boards, that had to hurt.
Yes, blatak dived.
Vampola?(not sure who) got crosschecked into boards, got up in a moment.
Not sure what happened with Hubacek at center ice, but I didnt see him waiting for a whistle to get up.

Hell, I'm not saying czech players didnt embelish some stuff, but just call everything diving ?

Missed the first five, but Ericsson injured? Damn, smart move Bengt-Åke bringing 9 defencemen and 12 forwards. You sure are a genius!

Refs sucks.

? I can not agree on much of that. The players you mentioned above also played for Hardy, in their prime as well. BÅG was the first coach to use Lidström more then every 3rd shift,, he let him play a lot. He is also the coach who picked players like Frögren and Murray to add something almost always lacking from Swedish teams. He is the one who picked up Kronwall as a Tre Kronor star before he became a Red Wing regular with only one AHL season behind him as a pro. BÅG have done many good things with Tre Kronor and he have the medals to prove it. Sure he have his favourites and he does not always pick the Stockholm media fan-favourites but he do pick well composed teams.

Yeah, what an idiot, how on earth will they fill up all that extra ice time among the forwards? They will be on their knees at the end of this loooong tournament...

That is one thing BÅG is missing from his coaching. But he get a lot of bad press for nothing.

OEL is a remarkable talent. 18 years old, straight out of the 2nd tier. Looks like 15 year NHL vet. It's not only his skating, which is fantastic, but his hockey sense is ridiculous as well.

Don't see any reason why he wouldn't be part of Phoenix top 4 in autumn straight out of camp. He's that good.

Diving nation vs Sweden. should be fun (?)

EDIT: Refs are sooo bad. If IIHF want a good tourney, they really should bring up some refs that got eyes and someeducation in the matter!

Dam_____n!

OEL would be so hyped if he was drafted into a bigger hockey market.
