Does anyone have a video of the standing ovation for Boucher?

May sound ridiculous but my eyes were watering up with tears of joy the final 5 minutes, the energy was overwhelming. Felt like a Stanley Cup game. Now I have to gather myself and prep for game 7!

Doesn't sound ridiculous at all. You should've seen me at the end of the Ranger game.

I bet that look hasn't left his face since he went down the tunnel in game five.

One of the writers said he was fighting back tears when he went back in the tunnel afterward. I'm glad they gave him such an ovation, he's earned it.

I love that the Flyers were able to show both Boucher and Lappy on the jumbotron, and give the fans a chance to show their appreciation to both players. It's a special relationship players have with the fans all over, but for some reason, it feels more heartfelt in Philly.

If someone had told me 2 months ago that the Flyers were going to be one of the last 5 teams standing, I would've called them f-ing crazy. What a ride it's been!

I think it's extra special because of the season Lappy had and what he's delivered and sacrificed on and off the ice. It's what separates him from a lot of players in this league. Boucher as well, to do as well as he has, no one expected it. They are unique circumstances that not too many teams are experiencing this season. Thus the over-flowing heartfelt appreciation many of us have.

Very good point! I was almost in tears watching Lappy the other night, and Boucher last night. I can't imagine what it felt like in the building.

So, once Betts went out, who was primarily taking faceoffs? I was there, but I can't remember seeing anyone other than Richards and Giroux from then on unless one of them was tossed.

IIRC Briere took a couple of defensive zone FOs. Yes, Briere.

My heart really goes out to Boosh. This PO was his for the taking... and he was taking it. I think he knows this was probably his last opportunity....

I think Briere is quite okay at the faceoff dot. He just can't be there taking them in the defensive zone at critical times in case he loses. Then it becomes a 4on5 until they clear the zone, and damn they've been failing at clearing the zone lately.

Except, he's by far the best option to win the puck, given the fact that Bergeron has made Richards his little ***** in the faceoff circle in this series.

Serious problem, the faceoff dot is.

It's been like that for a good while now. I'm kinda used to it.

It's not gonna change unless they ship in a Malhotra or two during the offseason.

I can see it right before my eyes. Flyers somehow make it to the SC Finals and get owned by Manny Malhotra. 61.7%, are you kidding me?

Also, I'm still trying to figure out if the way last night's game went is bad or good for the Flyers (win aside).
Bruins were the better team, but didn't win. Bruins had offensive pressure, but didn't score. Rask is back to being his awesome self, but they still lost. Bruins finally beat Leighton and score after more than 120 minutes, but it didn't matter.
I guess we'll see tomorrow.
