The Flyers have signed a Russian goaltender.

The world truly is round.

These Euro tenders are really cashing in. 1.75 for Bobrovsky, 1.95 for Rynnas.

I'm curious how you came to this reasoning. I assume you have watched all three extensively; enough, at least, to come up with an educated opinion?

Stat tracking does not count.

"Hey, Bobbo!" Actually, "Bill Brasky" is a pretty sweet alternative.

I've watched a number of games with Rynnas in net. The guy is a towering monster, and he plays like such. That's both good and bad. Though he covers up a lot of the net, he's a little sluggish in his movements and has poor rebound control. The rebound control is fixable, but he will likely always be a little sluggish moving laterally and in recovery. The good news is that his size makes up for a lot of that. Plays a lot like Rinne.

I like Rynnas, but he's not as mentally strong as Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky has rebound control issues at times, but he's a composed player who possesses great quickness and athleticism. He can make incredible first saves but will need work on smothering/handling the puck. Plays a lot like Varlamov.

Scrivens is the one I've seen the least of. He's still a pretty big mystery to me. He had an outstanding defensive system to work with. There was very little pressure for him there, and he used it to his full advantage as you can tell by his incredible numbers. He might play the best positional game of all three though it's fairly close, and his lateral movement isn't bad. Still, how much is the system and how much is him? Cornell goalies put up amazing numbers all the time. How many of them are in the NHL?

Just a quick question Flyers fans: Has there been an update on Emery's status lately?

I was liking Riopel and Morrison when we drafted them, but my opinion has soured a bit on them. Especially Morrison.
Don't Count Riopel out of the equation. He always performed well in the adversity just like Halak in Montreal. The kid as the mental stuff and the techniques to be a solid netminder

I was just about to say the same thing, Riopel IMO is going to be better than just ECHL or AHL back-up as one poster predicted.

He played really small in net when he came here for camp. That has me worried a bit.

At the very least he will be six months. I think that's when we'll know if it is career-ending or not. We will see.

As I know, he stiil has a valid contract with Novokuznetsk. The contract has not been terminated until today. So Flyers signed with Bobrovsky is not legal due to gentleman argeement between KHL and NHL.

Thanks a lot. I was curious about all three of these guys.
