I'm reading 2nd concussion in 3 yrs. Any concussion is serious imo. But 2 in 3 yrs, I'm thinking many will be a bit weary to sign him to anything other than a base plus.

OK. Like I said, Mitchell doesn't qualify for incentives. Unless my memory is faulty, you have to be on an ELC or 35 years old or older at the time you signed the contract to be eligible for bonuses. And even then, its only for 1 year deals.

Ok, if that's true then offer him 2 mil. We can afford it, not sure if nux can.

I think he'll get atleast 3 from someone, and most likely from the nux.

However, I would happily take him at 2 million this summer for a burger on Tuesday.

Wow, I can't see anyone offering him anything longer than a year. The guy's had 2 concussions. Yeah, he's a stud but you never know with these concussions. For all we know, next hit could be the career ender.

Why is everyone so worried about the defense? The Kings were 9th in GAA with Jones in the lineup. Anyone is an improvement.

The Kings were 22nd in shots per game (29.1) and this is with a coach that wants a shot mentality. Kovalchuk will certainly improve the number of shots on goal.

The Kings were 3rd in the league in giving up only 27.6 shots against per game. Again, that was with Jones and O'Donnell in the lineup. Shouldn't be too hard to find replacements without spending a ton of cap space.

Kovalchuk or bust!

Like I said before, TM's system is such that weaker dman can play above their heads if they stick to the system, but because of the system the forwards need to be more exceptional to put the puck in the net.

Thus, Kovalchuk.

See, it all comes together. The Cammy saga ends with Kovalchuk in LA.

Yeah, I know! But how much longer can we keep talking about Kovy? If you got something juicy you want to add, let's hear it. We're all ears.

Until he signs somewhere else.

Then we can go back to *****ing about former players who wanted too much money.

He's some kind of enforcer, the King need more scoring.

That Comrie one is almost unfair. Then again, Domi had about the same size and reach as Comrie...
