The USA chant was because they supposedly brought up the USA vs France game on the jumbotron.

Whoever started that chant is my new hero.

I totally agree with the nationalism thing, though (if, of course, that really happened). When your team is of mixed nationalities, there is no reason to boo any given country or chant for the USA. Know your team and respect that the Flyers really have nothing to do with nationalism.

Habs fans and their chants usually come back to bite them in the ass and it did tonight, so kudos to you guys. As a Leafs fan, I always enjoy the anguish of Habs fans.

I hope you enjoy this one from a game earlier this season. Basically the Habs were up 4-2 in the game and started singing "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbyeeeee" with about 2 minutes left only to have the Leafs come back and tie it up. Priceless.

I replaced the "le" with "lein" eventually, don't think it caught on though.

I think the only thing better than the Ole Ole last night is the Habs fans crying that we're copying them

You remember when Boston fans were chanting "BOOOUU---CHHHEEER" to mock our "BOOSH" chant?

Well I think they've created a mocking monster. We stole their Tuukka chant and now we're stealing Ole Ole.

That "Ole Ole" chant is the dumbest chant in Hockey. Sounds like a bunch of soccer fans singing. It was awesome hearing the Flyers fans mock them last night. Their worst loss since 1919. lolz

It was just your standard mock goalie chant. Just like we chant "Marty" at Brodeur.

Yes, I agree that the USA chants are pretty pointless. But nobody booed the Canadian anthem. There was a healthy cheer at the end of it. The people DID boo for a few seconds the announcement that Lauren Hart would be singing O Canada though. Once she started, I didn't hear even one boo from the section I was in.

I might be on my own but I personally love the Ole Ole chant. Mocking it works fine for me as I wish I could sing it more often.

But against any other team? Ugh.. please sweet jesus NO

Oh no no no no no. We're not copying this. Just mocking. Some guys near me where doing it while slurring the "words" together, it was pure mockery. I don't even think we would do it vs. Habs in the regular season, just in situations like this.

Hi...I am Canadian and a die hard Leafs fan....temporarily a flyers fan because of my vile hatred for the Scabs....4 straight please Philly and thank you....

Ive hated Montreal all my life....their fans are an embarrassment and they actually believe they have a good team....One guy who scores and kudos to him...he's been clutch (cammy of course) and obviously Halak...when halak has been ordinary like last night...the Scabs have been blown out.....its all about Halak despite what Scabs fans spew.....

Regarding the booing of anthems....I think its a classless act...I dont believe in anthems before major league sporting events...its dumb...but since we have to listen to them..respect all nations anthems...period....also

KNOCK OFF THE USA CHANTS...********! You had your chance to chant USA at the Olympics where your team actually played.....your BEST PLAYERS ARE........CANADIAN!!! Briere...Pronger...Gagne...Giroux....etc....

Makes you sound moronic...The USA isnt playing....

Finally....From LEAFS NATION........GO FLYERS GO!!!!

The organist played it around the time of handshakes and the fans went into song.

I loved it! You guys have set a new standard. Every time the habs will be down and out in a game, this song will come out to haunt them, everywhere accross the league! Kudos, and good luck!

No one really boos anthems in Philly. You have few *******s but I have never really noticed it.

The fans do realized the Flyers mostly aren't American but that wasn't the point of chanting USA. I thought it was funny.

There was no booing of the anthem at the game last night. I mean I can't speak for every section, but I can say there was nothing that could be heard stadium wide....at all.

And yes USA chants are ********. We aren't cheering for the USA, we are cheering for the Flyers.
