Did you notice Giroux picking something up off the ice before the face-off?
Rather sure there was nothing and it was just to take Plekanec's (or whoever it was opposing him at the dot?) focus abit off the puck-drop.

Any chance we see Pronger down low to further shield Halak?

NHL Live is reporting Holmgren says Lappy has been cleared for contact and is closer to returning then Carter. I just find that shocking.
Calls Carter returning for this series a stretch

While part of me wants Lappy back, I'm honestly worried about the guy and his future as a person, I want him to have a happy post-playing life and playing with this kind of injury kind of scares me.

I hadn't, but that's an interesting point. Either way, Claude's the man.

There's been contrasting reports about both flying all over. Either way, if Lappy's brain contusion is gone that's great ****ing news, and I don't mean because he can play again.

If i'm remembering correctly it looked as if he was getting something off of his skate.

I don't want Lappy to come back this season, honestly. His health is far more important, and he should seriously realize that. This needs definite time to heal. And honestly, the team is clicking.

Watched it again, you're right.
Also it was Gomez, not Plekanec as I guess'd earlier.

It was nice to finally watch a game were the Flyers weren't toally dominanted in the face off circle.

Laperriere's injury is an interesting case. While I agree that the team is clicking, you probably couldn't find enough money to pay the guy to have him not play if cleared. It's also interesting because it's not something you necessarily fear him re-aggravating like a groin injury. He's going to be wearing the shield which will already drastically improve the chance of not him stopping a puck with his upper face ever again, and he's also smart enough to consider such things now. (I suppose it could be argued he should've learned his lesson after the first puck to the face this year, but both shots were blocked in different manners. The second one was more timing than realizing the play, and I'm confident he wouldn't put himself in either position again.)

I'm curious if he'd be on the PK though, because that might be the most critical part to his role with the team.

He's healed, though. They had to wait for the contusion to go away and since it has, there is nothing to keep him from playing.

you have to remember too, Homer is concerned about Carter and muscle atrophy since Carter has not been able to work out at all. Lappy, on the other hand, after being treated for positional vertigo in his ears, has presumably been a workout machine.

I said it in the other thread. Lappy is a grown man getting sound medical advice from qualified medical specialists (his neuro guy is in Pittsburgh, not Philly). He is a grown man who, given the green light from medical staff, can decide for himself if he can play. If Lavi has a place for him, then so be it. If not, we're getting on quite well.

I don't know, but I'm sure Carter is doing what he can in terms of working out, weights, abdo work, etc. Anything he can do going from station to station on crutches.

Carter looked OK right away coming back vs. NYR for the last two games. He still had limitations, but he was good enough that he had to be respected. He wasn't up to full speed for few days, and was back to his normal self by game 2 vs. NJD, played well without scoring in game 3 then scored twice in game 4.

If he can skate a bit for the next few days, that would be the start.

Let's hope we can win the next game for sure, the look at Carter again for Game 5 back home at the earliest.

I'd want to put him in at home to pick the line matchups upon his return, if possible.

Perhaps be a bit less sensitive about your home province.
Do you see the difference in how you speak? A Flyer fan vs Habs fans (bolded)

Maybe I am more sensitive because I look at the comments and I see people generalizing me and my province. I don't mind mocking habs fans with an Ole chant, or rubbing a lose in their face, etc...

Well it is better then here, where instead they say it is only Black people doing the vandalizing.

Yes they are dumb. I said it a few times now, but what is the point in even trying to argue with them? They are doing it on purpose to piss people off, and of course they don't care about their hypocrisy.

Every fan base has examples of stupid people, and pointing them out just turns into a **** throwing contest.

I don't think you guys quite understand how you are phrasing your statements and maybe you guys really don't see it. I don't think you guys like when people say;

Philly fans threw snowballs at Santa, Philly Fans get tazed at baseball games, Philly fans throw beer on people, Philly fans etc....

Replace the word Montreal/Habs/Philly fans with a race and you can see how the statements seem very wrong.

Yes dumb people do say that, and it is annoying, so why also do it? How about "a Philly/Montreal fan", "a dumb fan from Mtl/Philly" ,"Some Mtl/Philly fans", etc...

I don't like it when someone describes Philly in that way and I won't like it when people describe Montreal in that way.

I really won't discuss this more, because I feel like I'm becoming a debbie downer.

Muscles don't atrophy in a couple weeks, not if you're eating right. I mostly think that it is in guy's heads when they talk about getting back in game shape after being out for a couple of weeks. That's just my layman opinion though.
