Moore Suspended

The American Hockey League announced today that Hartford Wolf Pack center Dominic Moore has been suspended for two (2) regular season games as a result of his actions in a March 5, 2005, AHL game in San Antonio.

I wasn't able to listen to that game this past Saturday. What did he do?

Here's a little snippet from Crawford's latest article on the Pack site,

"There were four fights in the first period, and then Dominic Moore knocked San Antonio forward Ryan Jardine out of the game in the third period, as he saw Jardine coming to run him and caught Jardine with a stiff blow up high."

I hate to hear about any player getting hurt, but I'm glad that Steve Moore tried to protect himself. He's going to need a level of feistiness and grit to make it.

Now Lundmark has to step it up. He will get lot of chances with Moore suspended.

Lundmark has been badly outplayed by Dom Moore this year! I hope Dom gets a chance next NHL season to stick with the big club. Lundmark should get used to the AHL for a while, maybe McGill can straighten him out!

I'd put a lot of money on that I feel Dom will be with the Rangers next year(or whenever there is a season) Maybe 2nd liner if hes got it in him. (yes i am overrating Dom right now...but with the current Ranger roster..anything is possible)

I got him penciled in as our third line LW with Holik. I think they'd be perfect linemates.

Its possible, but that would certainly be a function of how bereft the Rangers are of NHL talent rather than Dom Moore's skill level. Lets be honest, the guys an AHLer.

On what grounds? If anything, Moore is the most NHL-caliber player we have in Hartford at the moment. Yes, I would argue more than Balej and Lundmark as well as any D-man or goalie.
