Good on Burke for making a difference. Really goes to show how much his son was an inspiration to him, admirable seeing him make a difference.

I wouldn't be too worried about it. Burke's been doing this for a LONG time. He can handle separating work and his personal life.

I wouldn't look much into him break down in public like it said in the article. The fact that he was talking about his son is what caused it.

Good Job on Burkes Part. A class act. He is tough on the outside, but he is soft on the inside

Whoever wrote this article didn't actually spend the time to look up what LGBTQ stands for, it's queer not questioning.

Not sure how much weight you are talking about, because normally weight loss is looked at as a positive thing unless too much, too quick and unexpected.

But as far as breaking down in public: I think this is why everybody is giving him kudos. This is very difficult to do: go out in public and talk about bullies and gays. It would be so much easier for him to grieve in private. The fact that he has the--- well, truculence might not be the exact right word but it comes to mind... truculence to stand up and do this when he is still hurting over the death of his son, shows the man has class.

If he wasn't breaking down in public, that is when I would worry. The man lost a son. I dont want to even begin to imagine how that feels. Plus Burke has so many good people around him that we should not worry of any mistakes he might make at the draft.

Believe it or not, the answer to stopping bullying isn't beating them up.

But good on Burke. Doing something like this can also be theraputic in the grieving period.

Good for Burke. I'm proud he's the President and GM of my Toronto Maple Leafs.

There isn't a doubt in my mind that Nonis is probably staying on to help Brian through the hardest time of his life. Nonis was already doing the bulk of the work for Burke and you can't really expect Brian to make ALL the decisions in his state.
