Tollefsen to MODO, 3 year deal (2+1), should take some pressure of Timander, sweet!

Always liked OKT, but something tells me he's gonna have trouble in the SEL. And not trying to flame here but how does Modo fans feel about the upcoming season? To me they look weaker then last season, and they were in serious trouble then already.

SSK are looking to make a push too with a really solid roster for once, which should be worrisome for the other teams that are looking to finish down low.

But Tollefsen is the kind of player they have been missing. A player with a heart and full health. I dont expect him to drop the gloves that much in the SEL but he is a good hitter and a very physical player. Good luck to him and Modo.

I agree that our roster still look weak up front. We need to add a pair of solid top 6 forwards. Replacing Forsberg, Naslund, MZA and Pikkarainen will be impossible in terms of points and skill. We need to spread scoring among more players this upcoming season.

On the other hand, there are tonnes of room for improvement in our defensive department. Hopefully we'll get better goaltending and improve defensively overall. We allowed too many goals last season, which was probably our biggest problem (among several).

Adding some younger players to the mix focusing on good skating skills (except Hedman =P ) should also be vital to being able to play a more aggressive and offensive minded hockey next year.

Tollefsen should be a good fit, taking some pressure off Timander, who has been carrying the team defensively (and struggled a bit) for some time now.

Josefsson and Tedenby signed with Devils today, question is if they are gone or if they are going to play with Djurgården/HV71 on loan?

Regarding OKT, I look at him as a signing pretty much like DiPenta or Ward, lots of penalties and a cone that small quick fowards will go passed easily on the big ice.

MoDo looks alright, just need one or two top-6 forwards, the thing about that is that most teams do, so it'll be interesting to see what they end up with. I'm guessing Fredrik Andersson wants Joakim Lindström as much as we do.

Great signing It's awesome that we are now getting a core of Skellefteå players in our club these days, that has been sorely missing.

Good times for SAIK. Every year we keep the best players and find better players to replace the ones that aren't good enough. Gabriel Karlsson being the one exception, maybe Johan Alm as well but from what I've heard he hasn't been all that good for Frölunda, idiotic decision to leave SAIK I feel.

And Daniel Larsson (G) signs a 2 year contract with HV71! Yey! Was hoping for Ersberg but this is very good as well. Will be interesting to see a more conventional goalie than Liv for a while.

Pelle Prestberg signed a 2 year contract with Färjestad today.
The whole deal happend really quick, less than 24 hours from contact to signing if I'm informed correctly (and I am )

I'm somewhat split about this Pelle is a great player in the right environment but just as high as his good times can be, just as low are his bad preformances and you never really know what kind of night he is going to have.

I would rather have seen Robin Sterner get more icetime but it's obvious that Färjestad is looking to win SEL next season and is making sure they got the players for it.

Great signing for HV!
It wouldnt surprise me at all if he is a notch above Liv.
I would like to see him in Tre Kronor this season.

At the same time I think he is leaving Detroit and NA too early. Would have liked him to give it a few more years.
On the other hand, I dont know the whole story behind him returning to Sweden.

Määenpä.

I wanted him back, mainly because of the awesome beard he had the last time he was here.

Why isn't DIF able to get their old players like Wallén or Larsson to come back to Stockholm?

We will definitely need a goalie and Wallén is a Stockholm guy with a past in the organisation.

Quite weird I think. Especially after the year DIF just had. Seems like someone is sleeping on the job.

Surprised by Koivisto, he has been rumored but I didn't think there was anything legitimate behind it. I just hope it doesn't mean that Pettersson is on his way to the NHL.

It's a bit puzzling indeed, especially considering what Djurgården has accomplished the last few years. Oh well, fingers crossed Calle Ridderwall displays as much loyalty as Larsson and Wallén next year when he's coming back to Sweden.

Regarding Larsson I think they played it safe with Riddewall instead.
They probably knew Wesslau was gone the minute he left the dressingroom after game six, and knew Ridderwall were about to leave as well. So instead of gambling on Larsson they guaranteed Ridderwall the starting role and dropped Larsson. I think, hope...

Ridderwall is probably a lot cheaper as well.

Dick Axelsson signed with Färjestad today.
The contract comes in effect if Axelsson don't make Detroits roster this season and heads back to europe.

The question for me is.. What player is Färjestad about to lose to KHL?
From what I've been able to find out, Dragan Umicevic might be the next player to be let go from his contract due to less icetime and a smaller role on the team with all the homecomers.

Good point. Might have been a decision based on cost.

Still it's sad to see so many old DIF players play for other teams when they go back to Sweden.

Poor ****ers in Timrå. Team looks OK (One of the best centers in the league, decent D, wingers are a big mehh...but still) and now they decide to blow their chances with Pitkämäki...faceplam.jpg.

Oops, sorry for late reply.
Yes it is. I guess a lot of it depends on the financial situation, being unable to dish out what other teams are able to.

Wallin signed for 4 years today and that concludes Färjestads silly season.. The result is an incredible roster that I have a hard time seeing any other team beating next season.
