Gear in the bag in a car all day in the summer (am I asking for death by smell?)

Yeah practice is offered 3 days a week. Not sure I'll be able to make all of them, but I'd love to be able to. I drive a hatchback, and while I have a cover, which conceals what is in the "trunk" it still would get as hot as everything else.

I work in a downtown setting, not in the best of neighborhoods, but we have a fenced off and guarded parking lot, that many of my co-workers are comfortable leaving their cars unlocked in. So I'm still investigating some place inside, but failing that it'll probably in the back, under the cover, with the windows partially open, and just the skates brought inside.

Febreze just started selling a sport spray that has alcohol in it. It has sort of a fruity smell but if I had to leave my stuff in my bag all day long I'd use this stuff. I normally use Febreze anti-microbial but for whatever reason not all the grocery stores carry it. Staph is no joke, your gear should not smell like crap, do what you can to kill that bacteria.

You could get yourself one of these http://www.amazon.com/As-Seen-TV-Ven.../dp/B000GTHU12 then unzip the bag to air it out.

I tried one of those solar vents, didn't work at all. Only in direct sunlight would the fan even turn, and then it turned so slowly no real ventilation actually occurred.
