Well Russia's has to know, 20 years of tears, 20 years no disservice.
And yet still Russians cry in the worlds best tournaments.

Maybe Canadians should stick to North American hockey and encourage USA. The Americans have a lot of class when they lose, it will be nice having a second country to wipe the floor with the "Big Red Machine".

Usually I support the Canadian-Russian rivalry, but if Russian fans are going to be total chirpers on every Canadian site, maybe it's time to support USA hockey. What better way to watch USA make Russians cry, and realize they just lost to hockey newb, at least by their standards.

Go USA

Go USA
...although the tone between the American fans and the Canadian fans are worse than when the Russians dribble along with all the whatever they come up with.

However, as a Swede, well familiar with the Sweden-Finland rivalry, having lived in the U.S. for as long as I have, and worked with Americans and Canadians in two different sports, I can tell you that it will never be a good rivalry between Canada and the USA. North Americans are way too nice, so it is impossible to stay sour at you. As a matter of fact, my 10-year-old kid didn't even get beat up or even threatened when he wore the opposing team's jersey to a game.

The best on best tournament, we shredded the Russians and you guys actually have the nerve to talk ****? By all means, continue the **** talking. Just remember who shredded the Russians when it mattered.

14 Olympic players on the Russian team.

1 Olympic player on the Canadian team.

End of story.

Anyone with half of a brain thought that this roster was pretty dubious from the very beginning.

Good to get some of those young guys some experience, but this was one of the weaker rosters in years and they ended up precisely where they should have.

I respect players like Tavares or Stamkos who showed up and battled for their team, but I also think that Canada fans should pay respect to other teams and players too.
Next thing you know you'll be linking to an IIHF article that backs up your opinion.

One won an Olympic gold mere months earlier while the other failed miserably and didn't even contend for a medal. Malkin, like many other Russian players, felt like he needed to redeem himself by coming out strong for the World Championships. The Canadian Olympians won the biggest most relevant hockey tournament in the past 4 years. A tournament such as this one isn't and shouldn't be on their radar especially when it takes place in the same year.

Don't kid yourself, Tim. Canadian players are patriotic when it comes to hockey -- they just felt like they didn't have to prove themselves anymore this year unlike the Russians...and that's evidence by how many more Olympians they have on their roster than any other nation competing.

Why are their Russian posters on our thread? LOL.
You won the game. Good for you. Now go away. Nobody wants you on our thread.

Embarrassing that they could not send a better goalie than Chris Mason or at least a solid back up if he decided to play like crap.

Though it is bit silly (very silly in fact) to hold a WC on a olympic year. I guess its all about the money...
I don't care what the IIHF thinks. It's not a best on best tournament, so it isn't significant.
