They've had a few blowouts, but most blowouts are pretty meaningless: goalie has a bad game, bounces all go the same way early, that kind of thing. This was wire to wire domination. Have the Habs ever done that this year?
All I have to say is that Pyatt was a 2nd star, and one of our best 5 on 5 players

Impressive performance by the Habs last night. Where were these guys in the first two games?

Now, win Game 4 and make this a real series.

whatever mood it puts them in, it's primarily chanted to motivate the team ( if it gives them a warm and fuzzy feeling in the process then so be it ).

either way. the chant sucks, it's not unique, and it has no meaning.
Pretty sure Flyers fans wouldn't like Pens or rangers playing the Bro hymn on goals...
Or that Home sweet home song you have somebody sing at the start of each game.

I dont care if Flyers sing Ole chant. Habs didnt event it. Its a European soccer thing. They all sing it, well many of them. Many consider Montreal as a mix of European and North american. Many europeans live here and have mixed well with the culture. Plus having French heritage and the french canadian population wanting to look less American/Canadian kind of shows how this chant came to our rink.

In a way, I find it sad Flyers fans sing it... Shows they don't know how we got to liking it, and they think we also invented. Though you are right that some Habs fans think it comes from us. Most know its European though.

Bro Hymn is about guys who committed suicide, but Philly changed it to be their song. Same with Ole Ole. It literally means "Allah Allah" in Spanish Arabic. But we adopted it, so it means a lot to us. It doesn't suck, people who think it does suck.

And pretty sure the same type of fans who think we invented it are the same fans who think that the Leafs are actually a relevant hockey team

He was playing on the third line. Gomez and Gionta were with Pouliot. Both Pyatt and the Gomez line were vastly more effective than they were in Game 2.

Funny how much difference that made, huh?

Anyone impressed with the limited amount of odd man rushes that we're giving away? Despite the first two games, I think the D has played the stretch pass extremely well. Haven't seen a Flyer breakaway yet and I thought for sure that would be the first thing that would kill us.

well maybe before you just pull stats out of your ass, you could go to Montreal and get some data for this.

What are you basing your 90% on???

I don't disagree that Pouliot is a better match for the top line. But he did only get 9 minutes of ice time where as Pyatt got 15 minutes.

My point is, you claim Pyatt to be our worst 5 on 5 player, pointing to your popular stats you use to defend this argument. The Pyatt - Moore - Lapierre line to me was what was pushed this team over the top; all three of them bringing their "A" game.

When Darche is scratched, it's hard to label any given forward as the "worst" 5 on 5 player on the team.
