Flyers Having Skate Problems

A lot of Flyers players, especially Giroux and Richards, have been experiencing Skate problems and have had to leave the game several times to get repairs. The announcer said something about dirt and sand being in the hallway in front of the visiting locker room out to the ice. The Flyers trainers eventually put towels in the hallway to combat the problem. I don't know if the Canadiens did this on purpose or not but either way, the dirt and sand shouldn't be there. I'm all about doing everything you can to win, but come on, that's just pathetic. Talk about being desperate.

Doubt it was on purpose.

We'll never know regardless.

Let it go. We have a BIG game 5 coming up.

Someone please lock this before MTL fans come in, and it gets out of hand.

Maybe not on purpose but should've been cleaned after the 1st period, not left there all game. Either way, you're right, game 5 up next. Go Flyers!

It's a pretty weak and pathetic attempt if it was done on purpose, which it probably was. How the hell does sand end up in a hall way of a hockey arena? It had to be to try to sabotage the Flyers. Didn't work anyway.

There was another game like this back against the Sharks earlier in the season where I think it was an open area of concrete messing up the skates.

Pronger fell, and it led to a break away goal. I was pretty upset.

It falls on the Canadiens and the staff at the Bell Centre to fix the problem whether it was done intentionally or not.

At the end of the day, it didn't cost us the game so let it go.

I'm not going to accuse anyone of anything, but that's an awful issue to have in a hockey arena.

If I was asked to pick one team that would do something like this on purpose, it'd be the Habs. So it certainly wouldn't surprise me if they were found to be doing something naughty.

im going to accuse them. now of all times this happens never before, never any problems in teh bell centre, but it happens to happen today, not at practice yesterday or the day before. based on the proponderance of evidence. i say a fan did this in the very least.

How would an everyday fan get into the locker room hallway with a sack of sand, dump it everywhere and not get caught? That's even more astounding than sand being there in the first place.

I wonder if anyone will be looking into this, if I were the Flyers organization and this has any validity, i'd be asking about it.

i agree that they wouldnt make it up and kimmo said there was. so you woudl think you would believe kimmo, and maybe the rest are just being polite about it. who knows. but teh confirmation of sand is a sounding accusation. unless were all agree that kimmo is a liar.
