That's what we needed. We neeeeded that win.

Giroux's goal was so sick and smooth. Can't believe the sand, if it's what they honestly tried to mess with our skates.

That 2nd period was as dominant as I've ever seen.
Today may have been Pronger's best game as a FLyer (2 days after his worst)

Question for someone. Someone asked me this and I didn't have an answer. Why have we played one more game than the West?

Thanks!

The WCF had an extra day off after game #2. Games #1 and #2 were played on the same day for both series'

Probably scheduling. Didn't want to have both games on the same days. Also you can't have a game at 10:30 when it's in Chicago like you could in San Jose to go along with the ECF start times at 7.

Lol @ 12 molar HCL. Not only referring to it as HCL instead of hydrochloric acid, but bothering to specify a molarity really put it over the top.

That said, if we do the 12M HCL, I think the Alligators become sort of a waste.

The bigger reason is actually because they were late for both Conference Finals. San Jose couldn't have a game on Saturday because of a concert, NBC was supposed to show Game 1 of something on Saturday. Also, the Flyers/Bruins series ended late, if the schedule worked out properly, Game 7 would have been Thursday, but there was two days off in there too.

I thought it had to do something along those lines. Not that I really care. But it just made me think.

What's this Richards hit on Hal Gill, that has some Habs fans complaining? They're calling it a blind side hit.

Anybody got a video of it?

Well done, boys. Another hard fought, well earned victory by your guys. You should really be proud with how they've played thus far in this series, especially considering the fact that they've managed to respond so well after that game 3 meltdown.

Also, try not to get suckered into all the whining from Habs fans about the officiating. It's status quo for them to go on an endless rant about the refs after any tough loss.

Man, what a freakin game. This is just plain awesome. After a season of frustration, it's all falling into place at just the right time. Hell yes!

I dunno, but that 8 page thread is God awful.

It was started when Richie tried to destroy Kostitsyn in game 2, which was clearly because of that cheapshot elbow he threw in game 1. After 175 posts not one person mentioned what the poor victim Kostitsyn did in game 1.

But that thread has it all from alot of fans saying they wish they had him, to crybaby Bruin fans saying hes a bigger crybaby than Crosby.....

Who cars Hal Gill is an ogre anyway.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this, but I just did after watching a replay of the Leino goal. Five other Flyers celebrate with him... meaning there were six Flyers on the ice. Leino didn't go off for a line change because he was on the other side of the ice and saw all that open space in front of him, yet all the fourth line forwards ended up being on the ice (in addition to Pronger and Coburn). Did we get away with a penalty, or did the last forward (Laperriere) jump on the ice after Leino had scored just to join in the celebration? What the hell happened? I wish there was an overhead photo of the ice at the exact moment of the goal.

The Flyers were changing themselves.

Okay, but that still doesn't answer my question. Did we have six guys on the ice for the goal, or did Lappy just jump on after to join the celebration?

I think that is the answer. We may have had 6 guys on, but it's almost irrelevant since that break away was a two man play (Pronger and Ville). If there's six guys in the play, obviously you know that is a different story. I don't think the refs really ever call TMM on sloppy line changes that are 70 feet behind the play.

They need something to complain about after the way their team played.

Glenn Healey was *****ing about Richards at one point yesterday, something about a blind sided hit. I don't know if it was on the same play but if they were watching CBC then that's what it was. So yes, 6'7" Gill got hit by 5'11" Richards and I guess he's in critical condition...except, of course, he finished the game.

They showed the replay but I wasn't paying much attention until Healey made the comment about Richards being a dirty player.

I'm guessing they were in the middle of a change (up to 7-8 guys can be on the ice at a single time) and then when they saw Leino scored, they all skated down to congratulate him.

But line changes behind the play can definitely be a bit sloppy.
