GDT: Houston[Minn/Dal] @ Milwaukee 7:00 CST

Admirals try to string together two wins in a row, playing Houston at home. Fiddler, haydar, yablonski, henry all out of course...new guy, yarema, will center fiddler's line i guess...houston plays a lot like the wild, trapping and dumping the puck to shorten top line shifts...get behind them and they're hard to beat...get ahead early and force them to skate and open up the game and they're in trouble generally

Critical games now as Chicago has moved to within 2 points of the ads, both teams with 18 games to go.....gonna be a real dogfight to the end for the ads to try to win the west division

Here's the matchup:

Milwaukee Admirals
37 18 3 4 (81 points) 1st place, west division

Houston Aeros:
29 22 6 3 (67 points) 4th place, west division

Admirals home record:
18-8-1-1

I noticed that Rochester in the North division of the Western Conference has 97 points

wow...yarema wins the faceoff to gamache who drives in and scores 5 hole at the 21 second mark of the first

Gamache(24) from Yarema(12)(1st as an ad)

pivko gets his own rebound and pushes it over the line to give the ads an early two goal lead

2-0 Mil 9:41 1st Pivko(5) from Smith(25) and Zanon(15)

pivko's first POINT in 11 games

severson whips up on kinkle right afterwards

leopold and poile in attendance, might be giving the ads some extra incentive

upshall adds a 3rd in the second on a pp 3-0 from suter and hrkac, and then right off the faceoff after the goal paul brown scores his first ever ahl goal from lundbohm 14 seconds later to give the ads a 4-0 lead

his relationship with Finley...he actually said that they grew up together are great friends as well as teamates...they really support eachother and don't play games with eachother like other goalie pairs which really embarrasses him as a goalie...he said Finley was a factor in him coming here because they get along so well.

He is doing a pretty good on color for his first time

couple of notes/thoughts from last night's game;

..good to see paul brown score his first ever ahl goal...only his 5th game played
..finley has a string of almost 8 shutout periods now(last goal was at 28 seconds of the 2nd to Utah)
..segal's slump continues, after scoring quite a few goals early this year, was a ahealthy scratch for brown
..pivko finally scores a point after 11 straight scoreless games, and almost 20 games without a goal
..tootoo had his two game goal scoring streak stopped, but he rang two posts last night
..tootoo also fought erskine, after erskine face washed him...the guy is scared of no one(fight wound up being more of a holding match, but still)
..yarema sounded good, won bunches of faceoffs, one of which led directly to gamache's opening goal which proved to be the gamewinner
..to be fair to finley, houston sounded like they got very few scoring chances all game, defense must have played a great game
..gamache,upshall both with two point games...both sound like they are heating up

when Zanon and Klein are a +4 ... that says something to me matchup wise ... Erskine (-3), Michalek (-2) were the ones they were attacking all night it seems ... nice job Coach!

I think Handtrick deserves some penalty minutes....maybe a match penalty for that.

I'll serve my time in the box as long as Nomore gives himself a two minute instigator penalty.....and shouldn't Pred303 get a two minute felaciator [or is it facilitator] penalty as well....
