5 years @ $2 million is the max I'd give him.

I highly doubt Armstrong makes 3 anywhere. I'd rather pay Dominic Moore the 3 million than Armstrong.

Moore was always underrated, even when he was in Toronto, but some GM's just can't fathom giving 3 million for a player like Dom. He's a great third line C to have, though.
According to this link

Malhotra turned down quite the contract from Atlanta

I think with Manny, it was more of a desire to compete for a cup that was the driving force behind signing the contract he signed in SJ. Not that there was little to no interest, rather it was more Manny wanting the right team to step up with a decent offer.

as a bruins fan i hate to say this because i like the guy, but i see him signing in montreal or toronto.

he could be that big physical player for montreal that can play a top 6 role that they need.

and obviously burke loves guys like him.

if the bruins could clear enough salary i would love to see him on our third line with bergeron.

With the type of season he had he's probably just going to sign with a contender for much less than 2 million on a 1 year deal.

solid play down the stretch might have saved his current salary if he stays with atlanta or another team with plenty of cap room. if he goes to a team within 3 million of the cap then he's not getting close to the 2.4 he's making now, definitely not getting 3 million.

i think cormier and machacek have pretty much already replaced him.

if Darryl's the gm in calgary next season i could see the flames signing him just from people saying that Darryls had his eye on him for awhile but they said that about Jokinen too and look how long that lasted
