Im pretty confident this is fair value what do you guys think? This would bring in a 2nd line scoring center who has speed, I believe this move will make us very close to contenders filling the 2nd line center need. Therefore making the 2011 first rd pick low value.

i wasnt saying itd make us an instant contender, but might make us one piece away,
i believe this years playoffs have shown that even terrible teams can make runs anyways, i was just thinking of the insane numbers a latendresse-carter-havlat line would make. I believe it may seem like it makes more sense to me because in the team i have built right now our lines look something like this before i trade a few players for salary dump.
The thing is, the first two groupings for both offense and defense are a nice start. But when you get beyond that you really see the flaws that the team would have. Add in some injuries here and there and you're in big trouble. Hypothetically, of coarse, in this case.
It is a mock after all, so have fun with it and do what you want to do. That's what they are there for. Don't let us impact your decisions.

Plus throw in the fact that there is going to be no help in the future with all three of the top five or six prospects in an already ****** pipeline being gone.
solid points, i think itd be soo cool to be a hockey gm and get to make all these decisions hoping for a good turn out in the future, its almost like a crazy game of chess.
