Now just want to know the terms. We know it's going to be $900K per year. I just wonder what the bonuses will be.

With my 400th post (I know it pales in comparison to most of you!), I would like to welcome Mats Zuccarello Aasen to the Rangers!! I cannot wait to see what his name is going to look like on the back of his sweater. Do they even allow that many characters if you purchase a jersey?

This is solid news!

I have a good feeling about MZA, but am worried about his size... maybe he can compliment Anisimov's game?

Do they come any classier than Naslund?

Quote:
Naslund was happy to provide his perspective on what lay ahead for the Norwegian star.

"Throughout the year, I talked to him a little bit about playing in the NHL and my experiences playing for different teams and what you can expect," Naslund recalled. "For any player, to have a chance to play for the Rangers, who are such a traditional and historic club is exciting, and I think he's excited about having the chance to experience that whole thing. It's just like I felt when I was coming in there. There's something special about having the chance to play at MSG and wear the Rangers uniform."

Nice signing. It's going to be interesting to see if he can make it in the NHL or not. He stood out to me in the Olympics.

seemed from the article Niklas Sundstrom gave MZA a lot of info about the Rangers as well.

I figure it's going to be a top 6 role for MZA or the AHL. Don't think he would fit in playing on the bottom 6, much like Christiansen. I can see the Rangers trying to sign or trade for another top 6 winger and go with:

Dubinsky - Christiansen - Gaborik
UFA/MZA - Anisimov/Drury - UFA/Callahan/MZA

nice, hopefully he's got what it takes to make the team, since I'm not too sure we're going to see a lot of decent FA's to sign to bring more skill to the lineup.

Congrats mate. May he dazzle the crowd over at MSG just as he has done here in Örnsköldsvik!

Right when I saw him play in the Olympics I thought he'd be a good cheap option to add to our top 6. I'm very excited about this one.
