I'm happy for him. He was young when he made that decision and may well come back. Congrats to Rads.

He would be crucified if he said any different and he still has to do one more year. That would be stupid on his part. I still say he comes back in 11-12 to the NHL.

He said what he had to say. Hes in Russia now not Nashville.

Maybe he's learning some common sense.

I can hear him saying, upon returning to the NHL: "Going to Russsia was a hard decision but I feel I have grown and am a better player for it. I always wanted to eventually return to the greatest league in the world and pursue my dream of winning a Stanley Cup."

As upset as we are about how it all came about, its gonna come in mighty handy to have a potential 30 goal scorer under contract for less than 1 million in 2011-12.

Truely, I always saw him as a Russian prospect with high potential when he left. he will be extremely cheap and when he becomes and RFA it could be interesting.

Trade Proposal: Radulov's rights

Would you trade rights for Radulov to Washington? And if so, what for? [http://www.capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=30]

WSH untouchables are: OV, Backstrom, Laich, Fehr, Green, Schultz, Carlson, Alzner, Varlamov, Johansson. Semin is question mark but his salary for next season is 6M.

I think Radulov will come there (WSH) if traded. To Nashville - maybe not. Do you realize that he is currently making amount of money as much as 6M @ Nashville (with tax difference and so on). I would say he could be interested to contend for Stanley Cup, maybe. And Nashville is a question mark in that.

What would you say for that?

He ran out on the last year of his contract. To play anywhere in the NHL, he has to come back thru Nashville. Ball is in his court. I imagine he'll be in Russia.

So trading his rights is trading 1 year of Radulov's services for the price of 0,8M or smth and after that he will be RFA, right?

How much does this cost?

I'm not sure, but maybe making a few more insulting assumptions about our team and implying our fan base is ignorant towards a situation involving our own player will help us decide.

The rights to Rads won't be traded unless he makes it absolutely clear that he will not play for Nashville, or if a player like Weber/Suter makes it clear he will not play with Radulov (though that situation seems implausible.) Rads has spoken personally with Poile about his desire to come back to play in the NHL. If he didn't want to play in Nashville don't you think he would have contacted some other GMs at some point, too?

I would think that a potential 35 goal scorer at 800k is pretty darn valuble to the preds if they decide to trade that chip.

OK, lets say he came to you and played good, and he is supposed to play good. Will Nashville sign him as RFA and for what money?
