My name is Dave Perron... I would love to have him on the team! Maybe I would get in the Bell center for free!!

How many Lecavalier trade rumors have you guys heard in the past? Somehow someone always pulls the plug on the trade, and nothing happens. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that in reality it's Lecavalier that refuses to be traded. He wants to stay in Tampa, and has said it himself.

You might be able to knock him over the head and suit up.

Possible moves

I do not want Lecavalier. Maybe 3 years ago. He will take too much space in the cap. At 30, he will only give us 3-4 years. Here is the move I make if we have to trade one of the goalies. Carey Price and Kostisyn Brothers for Patrik Berglund and David Backes. You trade Hamlick to a team that needs a veteran defenceman. You keep Gomez until Louis Leblanc is ready. At center you will have Berglund and Leblanc in 4 years.

lol Louis Leblanc. For all we know he could be the next Higgins. Let's start by seeing him play in Hamilton before considering him a top line center that's better than Gomez.

fwiw, I think it's likely we'll see Engqvist and/or Nattinen in a Habs jersey before Leblanc, as we're probably waiting for Louis to finish his degree.

or that Leblanc decides to shrug off hockey once he's a doctor or something

I hope you're kidding... Vinny is exactly what this team needs and Gomez is paid exactly the same.

But, I'd never trade Halak for Vinny, that's for sure...

The only way Lecavalier makes sense is if Gomez is going the other way. IMHO for the Habs that ship has sailed.

i just find it funny that CKAC's trade proposals only consists on getting quebecers. not that im surprised obviously, its just funny. I wonder if the guys of CKAC can name 5 other roster players on each team that arent quebecois.
