Sam A is sort of like the benchmark that American beers *should be* judged by, as opposed to stuff like Budweiser. It's mid-sized, nationally distributed, and brew a nice range of products.

There are better breweries out there, (most of them in Oregon) but IMO an outfit like Sam A ought to be thought of as symbolic of how beer in this country oughtta be.

Oh and I like Val's next thread title. Let's do eet.

Ewww, you guys must be deprived of the greatness of other microbrews to drink Sam Adams. Personally I like Alaskan Summer Ale and the Blue Moon seasonal - Honey Moon (yes it is made by Coors, but it's still tasty).

What I can not understand though, is that we have bars with 150 beers on tap and not one of them is good ole yuengling. I can only indulge on it when I go back east.

See, I think SA is just good all-around beer. It's not as good as say, Rogue, Widmer or Deschutes, but there's definitely room for it in my fridge.

I'm def not deprived. Just I think Sam Adams always puts out good stuff.

My favorite beer is Stone IPA. Victory has always put out some great stuff too, so has Saranac.

Yuengling $1.00 drafts ftw. Summer Ale is my drink of choice during the... ah, summer. Sometimes I sprinkle in some Delirium Tremens. Fall, I prefer Boston Lager... Winter is Victory Lager or Golden Monkey. Sam Adams and Victory make good ****.
