On another note, while biking earlier today I forgot how many small towns there are around Lake Minnetonka that it seems like no one knows they exist.

I've done that before too. I'm away at college now, but I grew up near Lake Minnetonka and I would always be biking or driving around and would run into a small town maybe 10 miles away from my house that I never new existed. It's like everyone's trying to keep it a secret.

I guess it makes some sense because there's a lot of money out there and people want to hide, but seriously it seemed like some of those came out of nowhere.

Here's my guess. People there are super rich in order to afford those homes, so maybe they're just so rich that they're sick of living in a town with all the "poor" people. So they simply band together with a few neighbors and secede, effectively making their own super small town that nobody's heard of.

I can firmly say that their National Anthem beats ours by A LOT!!! But then again, 4k extra people in the arena helps though.

What did you want from me. I was flirting on facebook with one of the Nurses I know. Not a sprint with her, definitely a marathon!

Just out of boredom and curiosity; does anyone think there would:

1. Be enough Wild fans around here interested
2. And for them to have the time/be willing

To do a mock NHL fantasy draft?

I figure we could get maybe 8ish (depending on interest) members and have a draft in this forum. Then have a draft where you'd need to select 3-4 forward lines, 6 defensemen, and 2 goalies. All the while staying under a predetermined cap. Then at the end we create a playoff bracket and vote on the winner. (Maybe the winner gets an avatar?)

Gives us something to do in the mean time until the draft/free agency. *schrugs

There's a few different sites we can use if we want to go the simming route. That's only if we could get the interest from the few people we've got here, though.

I don't know if I got the time to be an active GM per se, but I'd be willing to be paid to consult

I would do it depending on how we get it all set up and that jazz. Be interesting to see who can keep at it the longest though lol.

Ya, that's just the thing...

I can make up a thread if guys want with some basic sticking points and see if we can get some interest that way. Possibly more people would see it and Would be willing to give it a try.

The best way to go about it would be people looking at when they are due to pick and maybe sending a draft board in with the amount of slots in it to reflect how many picks there are before that selection. It'd probably make things go faster.

That is basically how my best friend met his girlfriend.
