Small or Medium?

I'm planning on getting new shoulder pads online, but I'm torn between a small or medium size.

http://www.hockeygiant.com/nbhsup30spsr.html

I fit in both categories:I have a 36" chest size, I'm 5'9", but I'm 175 lbs.

I can get these bauer ones small or reebok ones medium. I'm leaning on bauer small since I'd save nearly 20 bucks.

What you you guys chose?

Would you think that size small would be a bit too tight/small? I'm actually also worried that I won't be as protected.

I'm gonna be playing in a no checking league, but puck can still go flying everywhere.

I am not quiet as well fed as you are, but I am about the same height and I use medium shoulders.

Yeah I'm 5'8 175 and wear a Medium Bauer XXV. I have wide shoulders but a narrow chest and they work fairly well.
