No. Coburn is a great player but another defensemen that we don't need. We need guys who will score key goals for us like Upshall did before his injury. This guy had 18 goals in 49 games guys, that means he was on pace for about 33-34 if he completed the season. He does well with our team, why trade that away for something that will log jam our defensive system even more?
I think what we do with Upshall is going to be directly influenced by what we do with Stempniak, I would be surprised (but definitely not unhappy) if they are both on the team next year. I don't know if Coburn's sometimes iffy play is worth giving up the consistent offense from Scottie but if Z leaves we are going to need some proven younger talent on our blue line. Hartnell is too much money that we currently don't have with the whole lack of an owner situation but his hair would look amazing under a Yotes helmet.
I don't understand why either team would do this--the Coyotes have an excellent defense, and the Flyers have more good forwards than they know what to do with. The Coyotes have problems scoring, but we never let in a ton of goals against. On the other hand, the Flyers have trouble deciding which forward to scratch because they're all good, yet they get stuck playing their bottom pairing defensemen 2 minutes a night. That's fine when you have 2 high quality pairings to pick up the slack, but what happens when you get rid of one?

Considering that he was lighting it up before he injured his knee (again) against Boston, this seems like particularly bad karma.
