He's a piece of **** and we don't need pieces of **** on our team. People hate Lapierre but he's not a cheapshot artist.

Pass, he's a decent player, but can't stand him. Besides, he's bound to get a suspension soon enough, so waste of time if he barely plays.

Head shot rules are in place - he has yet violated this rule.

As a rule of thumb, I always want the players I hate the most.

Sir Ray Ferraro disagrees, and so does that ********** Colin Campbell.

coolasprice, have you not seen that compilation of him running into people knee first? The dude tries to end people's careers. I'm a huge advocate of getting someone who loves to hit to hurt, but cleanly.

I know, but I have a strong feeling he's going to lay off the dirtyness and play a cleaner game from now on. Just my logic since he got all the bad press last year and with rule changes.

Bottom line is, if he lays off the headshots and such, and focuses on playing his game - I do think he's a productive and physical 3rd / 4th liner.

Do you think he is effective when he plays "clean"? I do.

oh yeah, just like avery can be a really good hockey player when he lays off his ********. It's just that when you watch a guy like cooke try and try to injury people, you have to wonder how far away he is from being a shorter chris simon.

We got rid of Laraque because he's a distraction. Cooke would be ten times worse especially with his history of malicious hits. It would only hurt the reputation of the franchise.

No ty. He's a major pain to deal with when facing against. But I don't want his dirty plays on our team. Sure al players are dirty, but he's a habitual low blower...

Some people don' want Saku Koivu back because they are afraid he will screw the chemistry but you want to bring a guy like Cooke, one of the dirtiest player in the league?

He's a POS, but I wouldn't be disappointed if we brought him in, to be honest. I think he would strike more fear into opponents than BGL ever did (with the obvious exception being Evander Kane).

I'd make a bet that he doesn't get suspended next year

How is that guy even in the league? The NHL should ban guys like these.

I'd do it just for the fact that it would add some much needed spice and drama to Habs/Bruins games again.. Since Komi left Habs/Bruins games have been rather boring and with Cooke's history with Savard it would liven things up again..

If we're going for this kind of player, I'd rather go after Colby Armstrong.

The only difference being that Armstrong will cost ~1.5 Million more than Cooke....
