No disrespect, but I honestly don't think the flyers can take 4 of 5 from the Blackhawks, do you?

The Blackhawks barely won 2 games that could have gone either way at home. While I also have my doubts about winning 4 of 5 against them, they are not some unstoppable force. They can be beat.

In order for the Flyers to win this, they just can't lose at home and then they need to force a game 7.

@SBaicker says JVR paired with Nodl at morning skate. Indicates that the lineup likely stays the same.

6 Championships in the modern era in a span of 8 seasons.

And thank God for that!
As a 47yo Chicago sports fan, I haven't had much to cheer about !!!
I got to see my Bears win only 1 Championship, that's it, (hate the Sox and their fair weather fans) -
Big Time City, and our sports teams have sucked ass for all of eternity -
This is the year for my Blackhawks, (as they will not be as good next year as they are right now), so prolly their last chance for a while to come -

Yes, I do. I've seen too much in the sport of hockey to think a series with results this close is anywhere close to decided.

P.S. You're a Hawks fan? Sharky101?

Given how close the first two games were, it's certainly possible. Do I think it's a sure thing? Not at all.

But this team is capable of playing much better than they have so far, and if they can win games 3 and 4 on home ice, they'll be in pretty good shape. IF they can do that, and even the series, then it's not about winning 4 of 5 anymore...it's about winning 2 of 3, for both teams.

It's still doable for the Flyers unless the Hawks go up 3-0 or 3-1. Then I'll concede that it's a done deal.

Can you feel bad for a Chicago fan who doesn't care about basketball and was 4 years old during Super Bowl XX?

I do absolutely hate when any Bulls fan whines about their sports' teams' luck, and they do it quite a bit.

I'm no basketball fan either, but if the Sixers won 6 Championships in 8 years, I might buy a hat or something.

I sure as heck hope you're not talking about me -
I have loved my Bulls well before the championship years, and I still watch most every game, (edit -and now LeBron coming) -
Same with the Cubbies, yet they have given me no Love -

The Flyers big guys need to plant themselves in front of Niemi. Hartnell, Carter and whoever is on 3rd line, I guess Asham need to take up residence right in front of Niemi. We need this win tonight boys, get it done. And please Carter, stop shooting right into the guy's leg in front of you.

If you don't put an accent on Gagné, it's Ok. But Gagné with the accent (as in Simon Gagné) is past time of Win. The flyers won last night would translate in: Les flyers ont gagné hier soir.

I used to be a Sonics fan, and in 1995 the championship was ours. OURS. Then Jordan decided to un-retire and ruined everything. I pretty much stopped watching b-ball after that. I'd found hockey by then anyway.

edit: oops, it was 1993-94.

Just swap the "n" with "m" and it sounds better - Gag me -

This is going to be a GREAT Game tonight, and I can tell you one thing, the Hawks are Eager to take the Flyer's best shot, (pun intended) -
It's time for your boys to show exactly how much they want it!

That works great, because Eager's really good at taking loads of shots right on his chin.

They can win their 3 home games and they can win 1 at the United Center.

Streak of past series doesn't mean anything. It's a new team, a new place, a new crowd.

Stop talking like your Hawks destroyed the Flyers, when we all know that those 2 games could have easily been the other way around.
