Ryan Parent :: Injured??

I have not read or heard anything about this, so if it is confirmed, sorry about the thread.

But am I the only who thinks Ryan Parent is hurt? And in my non-doctor opinion, its his shoulder(s) much like Richards last year. He was not hitting at all, when he is normally at least moderately physical. He dropped his stick rather easily, as if he had no real grip on it. And his shot/passes have been noticeably weaker.

This is not an excuse for Ryan as he has struggled. But I think he has enough talent where h should at least eb capable of playing 41 seconds w/o them scoring on him. And injuries are not an excuse, everyone is hurt, but much like Richards, I believe that this injury may be a bit more serious, most likely requiring surgery.

Did he actually play in the last game? I didn't think so (I thought it was Bartulis in his spot), but Pierre Maguire at one point praised his play, so either Pierre was horrifically confused as usual, or I was which is only slightly less unusual.

No, defensive D take a while. He just needs more time to develop and the way to do that is playing games.

Just not SCF games.

His ego is definitly damaged that's for sure. No surgery for that.

If he is injured, it certainly wouldn't surprise anyone.

It won't surprise me at all if he is injured. I actually really hope he is injured quite frankly. If he sucks that bad all on his own then he is going down hill fast.

What I'd like to see is some sort of off season surgery followed by him training himself agressively and then coming back to camp in the best shape of his life and surprise everyone. All this after signing a $850,000/year 3 year deal.

I think if he had a decent veteran partner that's not Krajcek or a young guy, he would look a bit better

Yeah, Parent, as much as I like him, doesn't work very well with lavy's system. Hopefully we can still move him for something decent.

Go with Bartulis-Veteran Next season

Filled with chocolate marshmallows maybe, but not made of them.
