And so it begins...

How many times will we hear about Favre before he comes back? By that I mean how many "big" news stories that aren't really news will ESPN be hyping up how he *might* not come back?

I'm going with about 3-5 more before he officially announces he's coming back.

Apparently him getting surgery is a sign that he's coming back, or so I've heard.

I'm guessing probably somewhere around early/mid July.

I'm waiting for Brett Favre Pandemonium Week around the middle of July. That will be fun.

But either way, I'm excited about the Vikings this year. Last year's finish was a heartbreaker (made worse by watching the game with fans on the Saints bandwagon) but they are still a good team this year. Plus one of these years they have to not break my heart, right?

Everyone is picking the Pack to take the division, which I'm not quite sure why everyone is suddenly off our bandwagon?

Wasn't that the case last year where the media believed the Packers and Bears had as good, if not better, of a chance to win the NFC North?

The division should be a lot tougher this year considering Detroit was extremely active and Chicago only got better as well. It depends on how Urlacher is and if Cutler can actually play his damn position better. If Favre comes back, we certainly have the best opportunity to win it all again though.

Oh that makes sense given Schwartz was his coach at Tennessee.

Don't know if you guys know about/visit footballsfuture.com, but if you don't check it out. I've been there since like 2006 and the Vikings forum is extremely active. We've got a lot of good people around there.

I learned something new.

Also, holy hell Percy Harvin!

Ya, Percy is just ripped!

I guess there's a reason for all of his broken tackles last season considering he led the NFL by nearly double of the second place receiver...

I'm just amazed one can add ten pounds of muscle to that frame because that's what you think when someone says 6'0" 195.

Ya, I don't even know where he can put that muscle...

I suppose his legs could afford to add a little, but it's not exactly like he's working with the toothpicks Bernard Berrian has.

Yeah, Bernard Berrian is about a 3 on the Cory Brewer-Ben Johnson scale.

That's only because people like to go against the grain and be the first to pick someone other than the favorite.

I think the Vikes will win another division title as we signed Sheppard, and drafted Cook out of Virgina. Gerhart will help too as we he won't have the experience, but all that I've read is he's a good player.

I know that Rodgers is good, but I just can't see why anyone would say that the Pack have a better shot at the division than us. And yes, the Lions had a good draft, but they are still too young to contend for sure. The Bears signed Peppers, yee haw! and that was about it. We got it this year too. We probably will get excited again just to get let down.

Speaking of the Lions, I think they'll actually finish AHEAD of the Bears this year...

But yeah, I agree... as long as Favre comes back, the Vikes should win the division.

Hey, the Bears also signed Chester Taylor! That's worth like three wins right there.

They also picked up Martz to be their offensive coordinator. That's like a minus 4 wins right there.

Favre isn't back. Griffin is injured and Henderson is injured as well. Everyone turned a year older and Winfield has had some injury issues as well.
