Glad it happened now, though I was hoping he can train to get bigger, stronger, and a little faster, immediately. One month isn't too bad.

The rest might do him more good than a high intensity summer-long program - the full 82 game schedule plus the WC is a lot of hockey for a 19 year old. Much tougher games than junior as well.

It really isn't a big deal. Between the long season & the worlds he needs some time off anyway. He said that his plan was to start skating in July. He's still on schedule to do that.

I agree its not as bad as i thought. i saw the scroll bar on NHL Network and screamed **** , but what are you gonna do. Hes still going to have a couple months to do steroids while they dont test for them
