Once again, we're sitting around here watching other team making moves and wondering what the heck Lou is doing? Is he doing anything?
GB would be just the type of coach and type of system that might excite guys like Martin and Kovalchuck to make them want to stay and not think that we're stuck in the NHL of the late 90's....
I'm really trying to understand whats so great about this system. Do you even know the type of system he runs?
I have my doubts that a 1-3-1 system would even work in the NHL. It may excite the players as you said, but conversely, they could also be thinking "what the hell are we doing?" which would make them turn on the coach just like they did to Claude Julien. I like the idea of an up-tempo, puck possession type coach, but I also would like somebody with more experience that could get the most out of this group of underachievers.
better then seeing 4-5 threads a week pop up all with the same information just giving people another URL to ***** in.
Ehhhhhh. For example, I know I can ignore the thread about Carbonneau and read the thread about Boucher, instead of going through a long ass mega thread with a generic title that only tells me "Coaching search".
Message boards used to be called bulletin boards, and that's for good reason: nobody hangs a book on a bulletin board, they post fliers. Quick, easy information.
Repetitive **** (Like one thread with a url, and another two days later with the same url) is in fact moronic, but two threads about different potential coaches isn't the same.
No one will be behind the bench because they're not going to hire a coach. Who will call the shots you ask?
Easy, a hole will be dug behind the bench for a cardboard cutout of stevens' face after mouthing "you're next" and one of Lou's mad faces. When someone makes a boneheaded play, Lou will have a switch in the pressbox that has the cutouts pop up behind the bench when someone comes back after a bad shift.
The cutouts will also do the pressers after. What would you rather have after the worst game I've ever seen Mottau play?
A) JL: I thought Mottau was good with the puck tonight
