Same has to be said about the Flyes, Leighton and Boucher aren't going to solve the problem for you.

These teams have goaltending issues.
Niemi is a good goalie

He saved our season and has us 1 win away from winning it all

No matter what happens he is our guy going forward....... If Huet would have been our starter for playoffs then our season would have ended in Nashville after game 4

Niemi was reason we won vs Preds and he stole the Sharks series

and he's been average in this series, giving up a bad goal a game.

I find his positioning very awkward looking and the commentators were talking about how he doesn't use his stick to re-direct rebounds. Risky.

He has also given them a chance to win every game, and has made some amazing saves. Who the hell cares at the end of the day? He has three wins.

a little hostile with other people's opinions?
he has three wins because he has shut down d-men
and an offense that has finally woken up.
if he had been in nets vs either washington or pitt
we would've been eliminated.
he's been just good enough to win on a great team,
but he hasn't been great...or even consistently very good.
neither of the goalies in this series have really come up with
consistently great saves when it mattered.
he's let in 19 goals in 5 games.
that's my opinion

Interesting

Game 2 Niemi was only reason Hawks won , He stole the series from the Sharks , Outplayed Luongo and upstaged Rinne who was supposed to be better then him according to many

Honestly, I think a lot of Habs fans are just downplaying the play of the two final goalies to make Halak's performance look better or something along those lines. Niemi has had an excellent post-season, and is a really solid goalie.

But Niemi has been better of the bad goalies in this series.

He is terrible on rebound control and once down he is slow to get up.

He is the better of Huet right now cause Huet lacks confidence, but in skill Huet is head and shoulders better.

Like a lot of experts and media types have been saying, in 10 years from now will anyone remember the names of the goalies in the 2010 Stanley Cup Final!
