i got to see game 5 of the phoenix series from behind the laker net, pretty damn close. That Artest game winner was an amazing way to end it. That staples center was louder than i have ever heard it.

I didn't understand it when this team blew up their league best bullpen.

McBroke!! haha I love it. But in all honesty, I wish Art Moreno bought the dodgers and not the angels...

One of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Artest and Odem cost the Lakers game 2. Horrible shooting for both.

Wtf was that call where the ball was clearly off Garnett at the 46 minute mark. How could they f that up after reviewing? It should have been Garnet's 6th foul and the ball going to the Lakers. Makes you wonder.

I don't usually complain about refs because they suck a** as always but the past two games have been the worst ever. Phantom calls, ticky tack fouls. NBA refs are the worst in professional sports.

Still not surprised. The Lakers are such a Jeckel and Hyde team.

They're as consistant as you get. That was the first home loss in the playoffs. Champions win their home games and split their away games.

... It was apparent after game one that the Celtics were going to get swept unless they turned one or more of the games into a ridiculous and farcical nightmare that no one wanted to be a part of, and that (with the help of some attention-seeking referees) is exactly what Boston did. It became a "can you top this?" contest to see which player could execute the best flop, or which referee could make the worst call. They even reviewed the ball that Garnett hit out of bounds and still just said "**** it, Celtics ball LOL". It was like, why are the Lakers even out on the court here? It was this Cirque de Soleil starring the Celtics and the referees, complete with Doc Rivers running out on the court like a retard after calling time out. The whole thing was embarrassing, and it's a shame that the NBA has become notorious for this.

I guess I must have missed some of those calls as I was clicking back and forth between the lakers/Stanley Cup game. I did see quite a bit of phantom calls but even without the calls, Rondo and the celts deserved to win.

How can the lakers let a 6'4 guy get a triple-double? I really thought after game 1, it would be a sweep but now, I say the celts definitely have the momentum.

Is it just me or did you guys expect more out of Artest?

REALLY??? I'm surprised we got such a good return for JP.

I know we're paying majority of JP's contract but Ely has looked pretty good up to now. Yeah, he was better earlier in the season but the guy seems legit.

Apparently the Dodgers scouts saw something in him no one else did.

The Dodgers were grilled when that trade went down for trading for long shot prospects.

Its always the same Laker fans saying they didn't get calls and Celtics fans saying the same. Garnett's call on the OB review was big. Also when Gasol blocked the shot then tapped it again away from Bryant right to Rondo who layed it in for a 1 point lead was huge. I agree that Boston flops alot, Baby, Pierce, and Allen, play like Futbol players but hey they get the calls so why not keep doing it. Though Artest did not have a good offensive game he was again great on Pierce. If he can stay on Pierce through out the series we should have decent chance to win this series. I am a big Laker fan but I give Boston credit they play tough and are unselfish players. I think its going 7 and to win it the Lakers will have to win the last 2 in LA. Great Drama - This is the way a Championship series should be!

After the Dodger aquired Ely they helped him develop a cutter which gave him a legitimate 3rd pitch. He's always been a guy who just wins but the cutter gave him a show me pitch. Now he throws it 28.9 percent of the time according to baseball prospectus.

Do you know anything about the second pitcher we got in the deal?

Any word on James McDonald? I always felt this guy could be dominant.

I think his name was Link. he was called up this year and pitched a few innings against the Reds. He's our AAA closer right now. Originaly he was thought to be the main part of the trade and hasn't done anything poorly since the trade.

He's just mentally weak. He'll probably end up as a long reliever.

Having the name of Link is scary and intriguing at the same time.
