Hab sightings: Hal Gill @ Starbucks on Monkland

Doing some work on my laptop at Starbucks and Hal Gill walks-in !@

Big man!

Dressed very casual, kept looking around to see if anyone was recognizing him ... not a sole did.

Didn't feel like approaching him, but he looked like pretty relaxed and was dressed in sweat pants and hoodie

Okiedokie !

Ahah, kinda like I saw Matt Moulson last sunday in a Plattsburgh Wendy's. Saw a random kid with a Moulson t-shirt and next to him was Moulson. I was laughing my ass off to see a NHLer in such a random place.

Drop on the floor and wave your hand as if they were a sick, thus making a great tribute to the man. Plus it will be funny.

Reminds me of what happened to me this weekend.

I was in Richmond Hill Toronto for a wedding last Thursday

Went to a Bagel World for breakfast with the fam on Saturday before headed back to Montreal.

Low and behold Mike Cammerllari is there paying his bill just when I got there...I told him "Why are you in Toronto when the party is in Montreal" he laughed and said he was visiting his family and will be back for Grand Prix. "See you next season" I told him.

I watched him get into a his truck...nothing fancy...in fact was surprised it was just a very ordinary truck.

I'm not sure I follow ? Monkland is a street in NDG , not a city , in case there is confusion.

Sometimes it's nice to get out of the house as I work from home ... It's something I do once in awhile to "break up" the routine.

I'm not one of these flip flop roots wearing Latte addict poser type.

I doubt he is looking around to see if anyone recognizes him?

There's a small town in Ontario called Monkland.

He's a hockey player and makes a decent salary. Why the hell would you bring your kids to nasty Cage aux Sports? Last time my friend went, he ordered the chicken fajitas and when the sizzling plate came, there was a piece of green pepper with the price code still on it...yuck.

Yeah I must say Cage is a total ****hole, especially the west island one lmao. But hey, whatever floats your boat. A lot of people like McDonald's too, and it's ******.

I would've gone up to him, he seems like an approachable player. Only NHL related person I or any of my friends have run into on the west island:

Guy Carbonneau, Mario Tremblay (my dad met him randomly, must've been over 10 years ago now though), can't think of any others off the top of my head.

I saw Cammalleri at the Jean-Talon market a few weeks ago with his gf. He was buying organic food. I didn't say hi cuz i didn't want to bother him. was a thrill tho, hehe.

his gf is hot.

Reading this thread, I love the respect of privacy the people have shown to the players. Congrats to all of you. I would probably be drooling all over the place and giggling like a school girl.

Dwayne Roloson lives across the road from me, and Rob Blake lives on the same road as well about 45 second car ride down the street.

Never seen a Hab though.

saw lappiere at boston pizza brossard last year. He came in to the bar sat down and ate. ALONE.

before he left some people came and bothered him for autographs. i had no interest to talk to him lol.

saw laraque at dix30 like right before the habs let him go. I just looked at him and kind of gave him a nod, did not feel the need to bother him

I saw all sorts of players during all star weekend, and never felt the urge to bother them. I am the type of guy that like to respect their privacy

I ran into Bob Gainey in the street like 2 years ago before the season started , i turned back to go shake his hand and just said good luck in upcoming season. did not want to bother him for more than that.

Lol so true. I just remember me and my friend getting crazy when we saw Matt D'Agostini like 3 years ago in a club. My friend is black and was huge at the time and he started screaming like a lil' girl. good times
