Sadly it's up to the arbitrator - I really don't see anyone sending an offer sheet when it's possible he walks as a UFA after a $4.2 million arbitration award...

Not surprised to see Toskala not in the plans, with Sutter needing to clear up space. Or maybe Toskala wanted a starting position, and will have to look for his shot elsewhere.
I was also hoping for Toskala to sign for cheap and remain backup for us. He played pretty well when he was here, but it appears that won't happen.

Wonder where he ends up signing

As for White, as a guy who's watched a lot of leafs hockey over the years, I can tell you he's worth keeping. The guy is tiny, but plays like he's 6'4. He always comes away with the puck, can make great stretch passes, and also puts up the points.

I think the flames should def try and a get a deal done on that front.

Although I really really like White, if he is going to get awarded more then $3.5 million then ****** him, let him walk and let one of our prospects play (Pelech, Negrin, Kronwall)

No doubt about it. I hope he's here next season.

Also, i much prefer the D pairing of Regehr-White over the pairing of Regehr-Phaneuf.

Yep, Phaneuf and his 1 goal really helped us out last season.

He's the next captain too!

I can't wait!

Toskala would actually probably be a decentish backup but just let the dude walk... He'll be someone else's problem. As to where he'll sign, the ECHL isn't a bad start lol.

I hope you guys keep White, he's got great character, plays really well and IMO I think he is worth the 3.5mil that he's asking for. He'll do really well for you guys. I recently came to realize that there is no reason that this deal can't be a good deal for both teams. I hope White becomes a big part of your team.
