Do some research next time then.

Interesting proposal....

Streit is a legit top #2 NHL defenseman (maybe #1 defenseman?).. 32 years old and really is in his prime. He started in the NHL late so he does not have a lot of wear and tear.. I can see Streit performing at this level for at least another 5 years and maybe still playing at a decent level until age 40. Streit logs tons of minutes and can play physical at times.

MDZ- looks real promising and looks to be a legit top 4 and probably even top pairing for years to come. He still has some things to work on in is game to become a top pairing defenseman but he is only 20 years old... at this time MDZ is not at the level Streit is at.... but MDZ looks to be on the path to becoming a real good defenseman. Great vision, great passing, good skater, physical enough and seems to have good character.... Real good draft pick in the mid to late first round by the Rangers.... WOW!! I guess great players can be drafted in the mid to late first round instead of tanking to get a great player... Hmmmmm.....

I would keep MDZ and pray he keeps developing to realize his full potential....

Even if Streit was 28 this would be a bad deal.

I love Streit. Really. The guy is a complete beast. Possibly a Norris-caliber d-man if he played on a better team.

If MDZ's ceiling is Streit, I'd be ecstatic.

But we had our chance to get him for peanuts and passed. No way do we trade our best young d-man.
