If you can split 400s this year I'd go for it. If you get them now it's very unlikely you'll get bumped out of that price range...a risk that could face subscribers who sign up next summer or the year after.
Do you think they will sell any season tickets in the 400 s or 300s after the ticket renewals and seat relocations?

dont want to say definitely not, but it is highly unlikely youll see anything in the 300's or 400's if you are to be a new subscriber

Looking to Split Season Tickets in the 400's

Let me introduce myself by saying I have been a season ticket holder in section 420 and 427 since 2006. I became at season ticket holder when I was 17 and had 4 season tickets up to last season. The seats are mine and I did not share them with anybody. The seats in 427 I would sell every game and they would help finance the price of the 2 seats I use in section 420. Since the ticket market has dried up over the past 2 season I decided to give up my seats in 427 as the profit on them was marginal given the amount of work I put into selling them every game. The 2 tickets in section 420, I would mostly end up selling the 1 seat and going by myself last season( lots of friends left for college). I do not mind going by myself as I have many friends who sit in my section so it is not as if I am alone.

With that said, I am looking for someone who would be interested in purchasing a single seat in sec 420 anywhere between 5+ games during the season. I only am asking for $37 for the seat, which is what I pay. I am not looking to make money on the ticket anymore, just do not want to be stuck with a seat and have it go to waste. If anyone is interested in a single seat at face value reply to this thread with your email and I will contact you.

I may even have 2 tickets available to some game for those who are interested at face value. I am 21 now and trying to become a police officer. There may be games that I unable to attend due to my job search as well as graduating from John Jay College this fall.

-Joe

Yes, but in very limited supply. I don't have any inside knowledge, but I believe they allow existing season ticket holders to buy extra seats. Pretty sure they can taken that way first.

The new rumor is if you call about tickets, they will offer you 200's and the more expensive seats. Won't offer you 300's or 400's unless you REALLY REALLY hound them and push the issue.

I am in 420 also, and you are right. The ticket market is DEAD. Three causes, 1) team play 2) economy 3) increased supply. A LOT of people are buying the tickets and selling off to get some of the money back or to make money. When the ticket exchange 0first started, I was selling weekend afternoon games for 50, 60, even 75 each (a flyers game). Now, on $37 tickets, you are lucky to get $45 each for the Isles or another division opponent.

It is kind of funny, because when sites like Stub Hub first started operating, people were complaining that it was only helping the ticket scalpers. Reality is, it KILLED the scalpers. Ticket brokers for the most part are gone, and now everyone is able to put their tickets up for sale legally.

Just keep pressing them, let them know right away your budget can not allow you to buy seats in the 200's, but you are very interested in seats in the 300's. It might not happen, but it is worth a shot to try.

Probably a few...but that's what a lot of people are looking for. There's a chance, but it's unlikely you will get them. Like others have said, call early and call often. That's probably your best shot.

How is demand down when the Rangers sold out every game but ONE this season?
Which brings up a good question, how come the Rangers sold out every game but the Feb Nashville blizzard game?
Now if they were 500-1000 short that would be thing, but it made little sense and is perplexing that they had only 13,000.
I mean, how can you have 18,200 every game then 13,000?

Tickets are sold, but they are not being used. When I say demand is down, I am referring to the secondary market. If you want to go to a game, you will have no problems finding tickets for face value, maybe a little higher. $5-10 on 300 and 400's, maybe $20-50 on more expensive seats.

had 6 seats past few years decided to keep only 2 in 335.... 330 row d on the aisle now open as i dropped those and 216 A on the aisle dropped ..resell market was terrible last year...took loss on almost 1/3 of games and took big hits on 216 seats ..rangers tickets definitely overpriced and supply now greater than demand..so yes I am sure 300 and 400 level seats will open up..only question is will current subscribers in higher rangers "upgrade " to them.

In a few years the market will recover and MSG will be state of the art and the Rangers will be winning. All of the people dropping their tickets will regret them.

I was just on the phone with a guy at MSG today, nothing available in the 300s and 400s at all. The cheapest for the full season is like 8k in the 200s for 2 tix. I mean thats nuts, but thats all that is available for new subscribers. Not to mention its only going to get worse during renovations.

state of the art? sorry, but the atmosphere at the new place is going to be dead. Is happening everywhere.

The novelty of the new place will wear off fairly quick. Look at citifield, the mets are terrible and their attendance has plumetted since last year.

Oh wait, do you work for the Rangers?

I'm a 5 year subscriber with two seats in 315. I only am able to make about half of the games so I'm looking for someone to split this season's tickets with. If interested please send me a PM.

I've had tickets since 1993. I have a pair in 336 ON THE AISLE of the center ice side of the section, row F. Real nice seats. On the fence about renewing. Would give someone the whole season if they wanted it. Open to discussing anything someone might have in mind from a handful of games to obviously the whole thing.

I am also on the fence about renewing. I have 4 seats in Sec. 327. I would be open to selling my seasons to someone, but we have to decide before Monday.

I guess the guy who said he would split the season with me has bailed out. He never got back to me.

So, if anyone out there is interested in splitting my tickets with me pm me ASAP with your email address and we can go over details.

Most important is that you have to pay for your half up front. My spouse will divorce me if I get stuck paying for more then half the season.

The seats are in Section 409 on Row E seats 17 and 18 right on the aisle 408 side.
