So would this also get rid of ties?

instigator rule has to go. it'll create some problems but they could hone it down some by setting a hard line as to when extra time is given for instigating. Extra time would be determined by whether or not a penalty was called...the fights after a clean hit would still get the package, but if someone grabbed ohlund after he broke koivu's leg, they wouldn't get the extra time.

of course we are so marshmallow soft on the wild the instigator rule would probably work against us and see clutterbuck turtling several times a game while bruisers like Yandle smack him around. Do i sound bitter?

what i took out of that is: do they play till someone scores and declare a winner that way?

I thought we were only allowed 1 change not multiple. I'm saying the NHL as is, without a point system.

I'm sure they'd set it up so the winner gets .75 and the loser gets .25 in a game decided in OT/SO.
