I agree with you. I dont know if people realise but Halak has a lot of value and we can have a lot more than Arnott. If people from philly were suggesting trades mainly with carter and vokoun, i'm sure we can do something to get Carter with Halak and other pieces.
I honestly think that AK in Philly would score 30 goals and hit like the Flyers like so I hope, if we trade him, just don't trade him overthere.

Why ? Because I would trade a Freaking goalie + an AHLer or at best a 3er liner ( only very very optimistic people ,borderline crazy, think pacio is a top 6 ) VS a second overall pick , 21 years old 6'3 210 lbs ??? make sences......

He has only 1 year left on his contract....Next years , they will probably be better option to a long term remplacement to plekanec ( thorton , richards , bergeron , brassard (RFA) , CArter ( RFA) .....

Just an FYI a 2nd round is huge value imo. Bouwmeester is leaps and bounds better than SK and I think he got less than a 2nd rounder.

Well plekanec's value is near bowmeester value no ? He's the best UFA available ( marleau & kovalchuk are better , but marleau wants to stay in SJ and kovalchuk wants to much money ).For SK , I agreed , it might be to much ..............but again,2011 draft is VERY WEAK ,a 2nd round pick in 2011 is like a 4th round pick in 2010 draft.
So if plekanec et SK's right are not worth more than a 4th round pick . How Ak +sk + rigth to plekanec is a overpayement for arnott ?

I don't think Thornton waives his NTC to come to Montreal and I doubt he would sign an extension. I think he likes his privacy and he definitely won't get that playing for the Habs. And if that did happen we'd have over 25.5mil tied into 4 forwards.
