I agree with you. I dont know if people realise but Halak has a lot of value and we can have a lot more than Arnott. If people from philly were suggesting trades mainly with carter and vokoun, i'm sure we can do something to get Carter with Halak and other pieces.

I honestly think that AK in Philly would score 30 goals and hit like the Flyers like so I hope, if we trade him, just don't trade him overthere.

Halak + Pacioretty vs Carter (i don't know if it's fair...you will tell me)
try to trade Hamrlik/Spacek or buy-out Hammer
sign Michalek/Sutton/Hamhuis/Volchenkov

Pouliot - Gomez - Gionta
Cammy - Carter - AK

Markov - Michalek/Sutton/Hamhuis/Volchenkov
Spacek - Subban

just sayin

There is no way that Montreal trades a goalie to Philly.......that would make Philly almost impossible to beat.....I cannot see Gauthier do that...

The only thing i'm agree is to pick Brad Ross..the Bruins will not trade us Patrice Bergeron..specially in a deal with AK

i think Byfu will cost us more than a first round. But damn put Byfu on defense? After what he prove in front of the net with CHicago? He's better as a forward, seriously, that's just wrong !

I don't know.I'm not a fan of Arnott but if plekanec don't re-sign , I think he can be a good temporaly remplacement. He has only 1 year left on his contract....Next years , they will probably be better option to a long term remplacement to plekanec ( thorton , richards , bergeron , brassard (RFA) , CArter ( RFA) .....

As for the deal :
SK as pratictly no value....maybe a 2nd round.
right to plekanec = 2nd round

To get a decent 2nd center , habs will have to make a overpayement .So 1 years of Arnott vs AK +SK+right to plekanec might be a overpayment but not a VERY high overpayement

Just an FYI a 2nd round is huge value imo. Bouwmeester is leaps and bounds better than SK and I think he got less than a 2nd rounder.

I'd be surprised if a team gave any higher than a 4th for either SK or Plek's rights.

Well plekanec's value is near bowmeester value no ? He's the best UFA available ( marleau & kovalchuk are better , but marleau wants to stay in SJ and kovalchuk wants to much money ).For SK , I agreed , it might be to much ..............but again,2011 draft is VERY WEAK ,a 2nd round pick in 2011 is like a 4th round pick in 2010 draft.

So if plekanec et SK's right are not worth more than a 4th round pick . How Ak +sk + rigth to plekanec is a overpayement for arnott ?

I don't think Thornton waives his NTC to come to Montreal and I doubt he would sign an extension. I think he likes his privacy and he definitely won't get that playing for the Habs. And if that did happen we'd have over 25.5mil tied into 4 forwards.

1/2 year of Markov( he's not coming back before end of November or December)
AK dont have great value imo

So that left.1/2 year of Markov+an enigmatic player (AK)+Halak
vs
Thornton+Clowe+Demers

Do San Jose own us a favor? do i miss something?

San jose say no imo ( anyway we cant take over 10m in salary)

According to TSN, the Oilers are gonna buy out a few players, Pat O Sullivan is one of them, now I loved him in LA , but didnt see him in Edmonton, has he really fallen off the wagon that far?

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=324612

I KNOW,AT 5'11 not the centre we need (Size wise) but what if Dominic Moore doesnt resign?

What would O'sullivan have to do with Moore? He's not exactly known for his defensive, PK or shutdown abilities.

I would love O'sullivan on 3rd line wing/center. However, I would only do it if we can have some defensively responsible wingers on his side.
