Alain Cheney would have been hired by the Habs

According to this site, http://www.danslescoulisses.com/site/

Alain Cheney would have been hired by the Habs. They say, in the article, that they don't know if he was hired to be a scout or for "assistant D.G"!

What are your thoughts about this?

I think he's behind Getzlaf and Perry selection and he signed some nice FA who weren't drafted like Kunitz, Sexton and Penner.

I'm confused by the phrasing. What do you mean by "would have been hired"?

well if we can have Cheney has part of our pro or amateur scouting thats pretty significant improvement on our scouting staff given his track record. Even as assistant GM he can give some outside influence and outside the box thinking to Gauthier.

It's a site known from taking news and rumours from anywhere on the net and pretending it's their own, never giving credit where credit is due.

also, i'm assuming the 'would have been' hired is being directly translated from french, since the impression i'm getting is that he has been hired.

yes the article states he has been hired...the writer speculates it's either as a scout or assistant GM

Isn't that the same site which corroborated the Twitter rumour about Frolov at the last deadline?

there's other rumors in the blog--it says either gill, gionta or gorges will be named captain
and the teams interested in the kos bros and our goalies are:

the Oilers, Ducks, Flames, Lightning, Panthers, Flyers, Hawks or Blue Jackets. he's only missing 21 other teams

No, the article says 'would have' and 'seems like' referring to the hiring. Adding 'presuming' as for the post itself. Comes from a new source of his
